“I put down my book, The Meaning of Zen, and see the cat smiling into her fur as she delicately combs it with her rough pink tongue. ‘Cat, I would lend you this book to study but it appears you have already read it.’ She looks up and gives me her full gaze. ‘Don't be ridiculous,’ she purrs, ‘I wrote it.’"
- Dilys Laing "Miao" -
This week’s end of the week smile is the hilarious image below. I think Debra of ‘She Who Seeks’ will really appreciate it since she seems to share my love for Grumpy Cat.
Have a lovely weekend, everyone!

never cross grumpy cat
ReplyDeleteNever...
DeleteDamn right, Grumpy Cat. The nerve of that dog, really.
ReplyDeleteAnd I love the Mount Rushmore one too! I must send this to my Rare One -- she is planning to go there with her niece this summer.
Yes, the nerve of that dog. Learned a lesson!
DeleteI think this image will get stuck in her head, and when your Rare One finally visits, she won't be able to help but laugh out loud!
MARTHA>>>>>>OMG~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~the nerve!!!!!
ReplyDeletePS!! What are memes? How do you pronounce it! I've seen this on the internet now for ages and I'm like "duh"!
Ron
Those are good questions and I had to actually go looking for how to describe what a meme is as I can't seem to be able to on my own. So, from Wikipedia:
DeleteAn Internet meme is a concept that spreads from person to person via the Internet. It may take the form of an image, hyperlink, video, picture, website, or hashtag and spread from person to person via social networks, blogs, direct email, or news sources.
They are, basically, trends that come and go. They go viral for a certain period of time and last for as long as they do.
Meme rhymes with team.
Hope this helps!
Merci buckets!!
DeleteYou are very welcome :)
DeleteReminds me of a few 'meetings' I attended in the past!! Oh the power!!
ReplyDeleteWas anyone thrown out a window? LOL...
DeleteI love it!!! Too funny! Like the "I wrote it!" Seems like a plausible truth! LOL!!
ReplyDeleteCats seem to know way to much! ;~)
Alice M (Foxy made me write the last part LOL)
Yes, cats seem to know way too much! :)
DeleteThat suggestion was obviously not appreciated. First rule of business: Don't make Grumpy grumpy, lol!
ReplyDeleteGrumpy fits in perfectly on Mount Rushmore :)
Haha...yes, don't ever make Grumpy grumpy!
DeleteThanks for explaining memes - I had never heard of them before. Cute cartoon! Happy weekend!
ReplyDeleteYou've definitely seen them all over the internet, but just don't know that that's what they're called.
