Chuckles and Chortles

Happy Monday, bloggers. I hope you had a good weekend. We spent Saturday afternoon outdoors. The temperature wasn’t very low, but when we stepped outside, we quickly realized how chilly it could be at times. And if you didn’t dress warmly, fingers, toes, ear tips, and even your face, became a snack for old man winter.

In any case, we braved the cold, and it was worth it. We got some much needed fresh air, and I snapped a whole bunch of photos depicting winter. Like this one:

See the young lady in the image? Do you know where she’s standing? On Lake Ontario! That’s right. The lake is completely frozen. It looks like a snow desert, and people are walking all over it. It’s the most spectacular thing I’ve ever seen. I will probably create a post later this week with some of the winter photos I took.

But for now, let’s get to this week’s humour!

Have a beautiful day!

  1. Get back in your house Martha, winter picture is MY thing! hahaha

I would have found the geo-locate furniture toes funny if it was not that I do that from time to time and the tears I get are not tears of joyce.

Look at the weather report for the next week, it's moving up above freezing!

    Have a great week

    1. Hahahha...not to worry, Richard! I am definitely back inside. The weather has turned on us again. More snow...sigh... But yes, it's warming up as of tomorrow. So some of this snow may finally melt. Be gone, snow, be gone!

If you're looking for lost socks, Jim, just check the local bars!

    1. That girl was really far out on the lake. I couldn't do that. It would terrify me. But she seemed really happy.

    1. Dressing properly is key to being able to enjoy a little time outdoors. Being Canadian, I think we understand that well!

  9. Yuck! Yuck! The courtroom one brought back memories. The sibs and I were always saying, "Liar, liar, pants on fire!" to each other. Lake Ontario frozen is incredible. I wonder if White Bay froze over in Newfoundland. No wonder you're pining for a beach! Stay warm!

    1. Seeing the lake frozen like that is the most incredible thing. All the great lakes, apparently, froze this year; almost completely. Even Lake Superior; the biggest one!

Saw on the news here about the Great Lakes being frozen....our cottage is on Lake Erie, and it was spectacular last home I saw it!
    Enjoy your week.....
    Cheers!

    1. It's obviously been a very hard winter if all the Great Lakes froze! It's time for spring. Winter has been around much too long.

  11. I'm surprise cats go into bathrooms with their water-phobia, My dog hates baths and she refuses to step foot in the bathroom. I have to pick her up and she'll reach her claw out and hold on to the door opening
