Question Of The Day

What is one of your favorite quotes?

There are so many I like, but because this one makes me laugh, and applies to so SoOoO SOOO many people, it rises to the top-ten list:

“It is better to keep your mouth closed and let people think you are a fool than to open it and remove all doubt.”

This quote always runs through my mind whenever someone opens their mouth and nonsense spills out. Along with a deep sigh. And a mental eye roll.

Do you have a favourite quote?

    1. Nothing in particular, but I don't think a day goes by that you don't run across something spewing nonsense online or in real time!

  5. As a firm procrastinator, I follow this one: Never put off till tomorrow what you can do the day after tomorrow. (Another quip by Mark Twain) :)

    1. Hahaha! I love that one. Reminds me of the one by Dwayne Johnson (The Rock) that goes something like this:
"Why don't you fix yourself a nice tall glass of SHUT UP juice!"

  7. One of my favorite quotes is from fiction, but it felt so good hearing it because it was very similar to my thoughts for many years as a liberal southerner. It's from House of Cards where the main protagonist Frank Underwood (also from South Carolina) visits a civil war reenactment.

"In Gaffney people called it the ‘War of Northern Aggression.” I personally take no pride in the Confederacy. Avoid wars you can’t win and never raise your flag for an asinine cause like slavery."
