Savouring Our Surroundings

“Amazement awaits us at every corner.”
- James Broughton -

The first staycation week has whizzed right by, and what an incredible one it’s been. We've toured and explored and photographed, savouring our surroundings, and marveling at this world that is rich with beauty and full of surprises.

I am in awe by the simple joys that surround us.

The breathtaking views...

The Moira River in Belleville, Ontario. We spent the day in that lovely city on Wednesday.

The friends we meet along the way...

A friendly critter we encountered while biking along the Cataraqui trail on Monday.

And the mesmerizing experiences...

Oh yes, Debra, there are sprectacular jellyfish at Ripley's Aquarium in Toronto that we visited on Tuesday.

And while we've been busy playing tourist in our province and squealing with delight (okay, that would be me) my garden has been flourishing on its own because of all the hard work I put into it in the spring.

It's been a wonderful year for the garden.

To top it all off, we have one more week of these adventures to go. And it makes me feel like dancing...

♫♪♫ Shake shake shake, shake shake shake... Shake your booty, shake your booty ♫♪♫

By the time we’re done there’ll be an obscene amount of photos and experiences to share, so creating blog posts will be easy. For weeks and weeks and weeks...

Wishing you all a glorious weekend!

  7. Thank you so much for the jellyfish photo! They are such strange and fascinating creatures. But much better to look at them behind glass than to encounter one in the ocean -- ouch! Their stings are terrible, I have read.
