Well.
He also comes by regularly to take a bath. I took some photos through my kitchen window of him bathing to post on this blog. I laughed through the whole thing because he seems to be really enjoying himself.

Once he’s done, he flies up into the maple tree to preen his feathers.

The backyard birds and their antics are very entertaining. I just love it!
Too funny Martha .. the crest on his head makes it seem even more comical !
ReplyDeleteThe "Robinator" in our garden won't let any other birds take a bath in his tub .. what a selfish bird he is ! but .. he sang to me this morning like no body's business .. it was too cute : )
What a great series of photos you captured of the bluejay.
ReplyDeleteJoy, these birds are hilarious. And you're right about the crest on his head; makes it that much funnier.
ReplyDeleteThe male robin that lives in the yard with his female always chases the blue jay away, but because the blue jay gets peanuts, he doesn't get discouraged that easily. He keeps coming back for more and he takes his bath no matter what. They're all cute out there!
