For those of you who have been wondering about whether the flowers on the Cosmos atrosanguineus (with the common name of Chocolate Cosmos) really do smell like chocolate, well, they do. Kind of. There is a hint of a chocolate scent. Not a lot but somewhat. A small hint, really. I mean you have to inhale a little deeply to smell the flowers. But when you do take that deep breath, yes, they do smell like chocolate. And in addition to the flowers smelling so sweet, they’re also kind of cute. Don’t you think so?

For those of you who haven’t wondered whether the blooms on the Cosmos atrosanguineus smell like chocolate, and don’t really care, what are you still doing here? I’m just kidding. You know you’re always welcome to stop in for a visit. I’ll even let you smell the flowers on my Cosmos atrosanguineus. They smell like chocolate, you know...
I've only had one bloom so far and I forgot to smell it to see if it did smells like chocolate.
ReplyDeleteMake sure to smell the flower next time. You might get a chocolate scent, too.
ReplyDeleteWow they are kind of striking, like velvet. Look good and smell pretty? Sound good to me.
ReplyDeleteTatiana, they're really cute. They're small flowers that make a big impact. And they really do smell like chocolate.
