Remembering Clair

This week’s ferrety post is dedicated to our sweet Clair that passed away a couple of days ago. Below are some of my favourite photos of her.

She was with us for only a short while, but they were good days. We took good care of her and the last period of her life was a happy one.

We miss you, Clair...

  4. Joy, thank you. We did provide her with a wonderful home; I'm really happy about that. I can't stand seeing any living creature suffer, so her ending was very sad. At least she's at peace now.

One, thank you. Clair was a sweet little critter. I feel bad that she got very sick and suffered at the end, but I'm glad that she's now at peace.

  5. Thanks, Liza. I appreciate you leaving a comment. I felt so sorry for this little thing the way she died. I hate seeing any living creature suffer. It's a weakness for me.

  6. I'm so sorry to hear that. *hugs* I've never had to go through losing a pet, but it must be tough.

  7. To love a pet is to know death, someone wise said, and it's true. I'm very glad she got to fill out and know joy in her life with you.

  8. Thanks, ivynettle. We all need a hug now and then. It's sad losing a pet; we become so attached to them.

That's a pretty cool saying, Tatiana. For me, it's not so much losing a pet as much as how I lose it. If a pet grows old and quietly slips away, it's not as hard. It's when they suffer before they slip away that's hard to deal with. You feel so sorry for them - and helpless.

  10. Hi Cynthia; thank you for dropping me a line. Yes, I do miss her very much. She was such a cute and tiny little fuzzy; I used to scoop her up in the palms of my hands and kiss her little head. And every now and then she'd give me ferrety kisses. She was so sweet, and I will always miss her. I'm thankful that she's no longer suffering.
