Chocolate Chip Cookies

These cookies are quick, easy and delicious.

Chocolate Chip Cookies

1/3 cup stick butter, softened
1 egg
1 teaspoon vanilla
1/3 cup Equal® Spoonful* (you can use sugar)
1/3 cup firmly packed light brown sugar
3/4 cup all-purpose flour
1/2 teaspoon baking soda
1/4 teaspoon salt
1/2 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips or mini chocolate chips

Beat butter with electric mixer until fluffy. Beat in egg and vanilla until blended. Mix in Equal® and brown sugar until combined.

Mix combined flour, baking soda and salt. Stir into butter mixture until well blended. Stir in chocolate chips.

Drop dough by rounded teaspoons onto ungreased baking sheet. Bake in preheated 350° F oven 8 to 10 minutes or until light golden color. Remove from baking sheet and cool completely on wire rack.

Store in an airtight container at room temperature.

  1. Hi there, Martha! It's cold and rainy here today, so I'm thinking that warm cookies right out of the oven sound pretty good. :-) This is the time of year that I really enjoy baking. There is something so comforting about a warm house filled with the smell of something sweet baking in the oven.

Thank you for another good recipe.

  2. You're very welcome, Beth :) I hope you got a chance to make them; nothing as wonderful as homemade cookies straight from the oven. We had a few days in a row of cold and rain, too, and it was quite depressing out there. Today was cool outside, but we did have some sun.

And like you, I also do more baking this time of year; it makes the house smell really nice, and it lifts my spirits (I'm not a fan of winter and the shorter days).
