Goldfish Snapshots

These photos were taken a few years ago at the Montreal Botanical Garden, one of the world’s largest botanical gardens with its collection of 22,000 plant species and cultivars, 10 exhibition greenhouses and some thirty thematic gardens.

I really like how my old camera captured the colours of the fish and the bottom of the pond despite the fact that it was quite dark in that area. And I like goldfish. Not sure what the appeal is, but I do.

  1. Martha girl that fish reminds me of Erni and Burt from our micro mini pond .. I was so hoping we would have them in a little fish tank over the winter .. I really dislike RACCOONS !!!!!!!!!!!!!! !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! ;-)

  3. Those are great photos, the colors are so vivid. I like fish too, but many indoor pools are not ventilated enough, and all you get is that heavy smell of fish that can get a bit much.

  4. Joy, the incident with your goldfish actually made me very sad. Poor little critters... I stayed home all day yesterday because of that rain. Rain + winter is a very bad combination.

Thanks, Crafty Gardener; I have a collection of beautiful photos from my old camera. It always did a great job despite it being so old.

Thanks, Tatiana. I agree about the indoor pools. It requires quite a bit of maintenance to keep them clean and to keep the smell from being overbearing. I envision having a pond in my backyard, but I'm not sure if I'm going to be disciplined enough with the maintenance. The idea of it sounds lovely, though.
