Tune Time - eBay

My friends have been posting a lot of old songs on Facebook lately; songs that we used to listen to way back when. Some are still very popular; others are long forgotten. But no matter what the song, I am enjoying the memories each one brings with it. And this feeling has inspired me into introducing yet another type of post for this blog: music.

Every Thursday, I will embed a song from YouTube that makes me want to sing out loud. Some of them will be newer hits that many of you may recognize. Others will be older tunes that will take us back in time.

I don’t know how long I’ll keep this theme going on my blog, but I’ll get it started and see how it goes. Also, some of the songs posted here may not be available at some point in the future since they might be removed from YouTube. So, if you don’t see a song below, it’s no longer available.

Let’s start this week with a very funny tune from "Weird Al" Yankovic, a musician known for his humorous songs that make light of popular culture and that often parody specific songs by contemporary musical acts.

The tune is called “eBay”, and it’s a parody of ‘I Want It That Way” by the Backstreet Boys. In it, the singer describes how he incessantly purchases bizarre (and purportedly unneeded) items on eBay.
