Tune Time - Pop Muzik

This is a 1979 hit song performed by the British band M. It was released in the UK first, peaking at number 2 on May 12, 1979. In August of that same year, it was released in North America, where it eventually climbed all the way to number one in Canada on October 29 and in the U.S. on November 3. It’s an oddball kind of song, but it has a catchy beat.

  1. It seems to have the same rhythm section as the Ghostbusters theme. "Git down!"

  2. This is kind if a cute song, but the video sure is a good reminder of how far special effects have come!

  3. 1979? Wow, for some reason I thought this song came out later, lol. Perhaps that means it was a head of its time!

  4. I don't remember the Ghostbusters theme, Debra. I'm going to have to check it out cause I'm really curious now!

It sure is, Jane. Back then, though, we thought it was soooo advanced in special effects.

Only 6 in '79, LaelShine? Aw, you're still a youngster :) I was born in 65, so I would have been 14 at that time, old enough to be babysitting you...LOL...

  6. End of the 70s is when I started getting into music. Loved all of the alternative choices that were starting to appear like new wave and punk.

  7. Oh, LaelShine, you brought back memories of the days I snuck into clubs with my friends :) I don't think there's a person I know who didn't have a fake I.D. during their teen years!

There was definitely a lot of choice toward the end of the 70s. I like a lot of 70s music, but the 80s was filled with so many great tunes. I loved that decade!
