Tune Time – Nothing Else Matters

Although I do enjoy it, there’s only so much heavy metal I can listen to at a time. Mind you, this tune by the American heavy metal band Metallica is rather mellow. The song was released in 1992 as the fourth single from their eponymous fifth album, Metallica. It reached #11 on the Billboard Mainstream Rock Tracks chart as well as top-ten positions on many European charts.

  1. I like this "OLD" Metallica, their newer stuff is kinda..odd now.

  2. My single favorite Metallica song is old, has no lyrics and is haunting and beautiful. Check out Orion, unless you're already a fan of course. :)

  3. LaelShine, I don't even know their newer stuff. I'm afraid I'm stuck in the past!

I just checked it out on YouTube, Tatiana. It's pretty cool. I'd never heard it before, which is weird since I have Metallica CDs.

  4. Yep, I love that instrumental section in the middle... memories of late night drives long gone.

  5. I grew up on heavy metal, punk, and new wave. (Wierd mix I know.) One of my favorite Metallica songs oddly enough is Whiskey in a Jar. I crank that song up every time I hear it.

WebDebris, I know exactly what you're talking about. I grew up with all the music you mentioned, plus disco, so I was all over the place.
