Sugar Pie

My husband loves this pie, so I learned to make it. Or have tried to. There are so many versions of this pie available that it leaves your head (and mixer) spinning. The only thing you can do is try a variety of recipes until you hit the one that works for you. I haven’t perfected this dessert yet, but this recipe comes pretty close.

Sugar Pie

- 1 cup maple sugar
- 1 cup light brown sugar
- 1/4 cup heavy cream
- 1 egg
- 1 Tablespoon flour
- 2 Tablespoons butter, melted
- 1 9-inch unbaked pie shell
- Whipped cream or Cool Whip

Preheat the oven to 400 degrees F. In a mixing bowl, combine the first six ingredients together. Pour into the pie shell and bake until golden brown, about 25 minutes. Remove from oven and cool for 5 minutes before serving.

Slice the pie into individual servings. Serve warm with real whipped cream or Cool Whip.

  1. Wow that sounds good! As someone who grew up eating sugar sandwiches, this recipe is right up my alley:)

  2. It's delicious! The family will devour it.
