I’ve been wondering how long certain animals live, so I’ve put together a list that reflects just that. The information has been gathered from an assortment of sources, so take it all with a small grain of salt. Also, bear in mind that life expectancy can be affected by so many factors (environment, diet, etc), so it can be shortened considerably.

  2. I knew the tortoise lived a long time, but truly surprised that it was almost 200 years.

    WebDebris, I was surprised by that, as well. I checked on the internet to see if it's true, and the numbers vary from 150 years to 200. I suppose the ones in captivity probably live the longest.
