So...
As soon as you get a chance this evening, disconnect the phone, turn down the lights, grab a good book and sink into a warm bath. Add some scented bath products to the water and light some candles to enhance your experience. And make sure to bring along some snacks if you’re planning on being there for awhile.

I don’t know who comes up with these
I love any excuse to have a hot soak - too bad it wasn't also Eat Chocolate Cake Day... that could have been my guilt-free snack :)
ReplyDeleteThat would be the perfect holiday! Someone should get it started.
DeleteI love long soaks in the tub, though I usually don't read (I'm a klutz and would surely drop the book in the water!) I do some of my best thinking there. Our current home has the most uncomfortable tub ever made--it is truly tortuous---so I mostly shower here. But I miss my long, contemplative soaks.
ReplyDeleteI know what you mean, Beth. In our last home, the bathtub was horrible to lie in. By the time you were done, you were terribly sore; it wasn't worth it. Our bathtub in this home is much better, so I try to sneak in a lengthy bath whenever I can. It's not as often as I'd like, but I'll take what I can get.
