Happy September, everyone!
I’m stunned that we’re into the ninth month of this year. I don’t know where the past few months have gone. They flew by much too quickly. I do hope that we have a lovely autumn season. It can be quite beautiful when the weather cooperates.
In addition to it being the start of a new month, it’s also the start of another award presentation to a favourite blogger. And I’ll state once again, for the umpteenth time, that it’s very difficult to choose just one of you each month.
Anyway, this month I’d like to present the award to Beth, the author of Blue Ridge Blue Collar Girl, a blog that a few of you have discovered.
I’ve been following Beth’s blog for a long time now, and although she doesn’t post very often, whenever she does, it’s inspiring and heartwarming. And sometimes very humorous. Beth is a beautiful soul and her blog reflects that. I imagine myself sharing a cup of coffee with her as we sit together on her swing and enjoy the beautiful view from her porch. Her wisdom, her kindness and her wittiness have me anticipating her next post. If you haven't run across Beth’s blog yet, head over there right now and take a look around. You will really like what you see.
Congratulations, Beth!
And remember:
There are no hard and fast rules to the award. You don’t have to display it on your blog if you don’t want to. Or write anything about yourself. Just know that I think you have a 'totally funkalicious' blog, and I’m glad I stumbled across it. The award and a link to your blog will be featured on the right sidebar of my blog for the entire month of September, so others may get a chance to discover you and enjoy what you have to offer.
Yay, great choice! Beth is a wonderful, inspiring lady, and I love her blog :)
ReplyDeleteShe sure is a wonderful and inspiring lady. I'm always looking forward to her next post.
DeleteWay to go, Beth! An inspired funkalicious choice!
ReplyDeleteYes, she sure is a funkalicious choice.
DeleteCongratulations to Beth - I will now go and pay her a visit!
ReplyDeleteShe writes some great posts. Too bad they're not more often. But then I think the same about your blog, too, Sulky. I wish you'd write more often, as well!
DeleteI love Beth too! And like you, she is a wonderful WRITER and a pleasure to read.
ReplyDeleteShe truly is, Kay. I wish I read more of her!
ReplyDeleteOh, Martha...I just now saw this! I am so sorry that I missed it earlier. I've been mostly offline lately and have fallen behind on blog reading, so finally got a moment this morning to catch up.
ReplyDeleteI am very touched and honored by what you wrote above. I could very well say the same about you, and in fact, I will: you are a kind, wise, and witty person and I'm very pleased to know you. I would LOVE for you to sit with me on my porch and drink coffee or maybe some good ol' Southern iced tea. :-) Thank you so much for this award---I am truly grateful.
Beth, you deserve this and more! Even if you write once every six months, I will show up at your blog. And I'd like nothing more than to be able to sit on your porch with you and drink that ol' Southern iced tea! That would be so wonderful. Who knows what the future holds...
DeleteI wanted to say, too, just how much I appreciate that you've stuck with me all this time, despite my long blog absences and despite the fact that I've written about some pretty difficult things. Even in the blog world (as in my "real" life), I often feel like I don't quite fit in, so I am particularly grateful for friends like you that accept and love me for who I am---whether I'm writing about sadness or silliness. :-) Thank you, Martha.
ReplyDeleteI feel the same way, Beth, as you do about fitting in. You are certainly not alone. Perhaps this is what I like so much about you --- that we are so similar in so many ways!
