Get That Fridge In Order

Are your leftovers starting to come to life? Is that green slime threatening to take over the vegetable crisper? Are the cold cuts growing fur? Then it’s time for a gunk exorcism! And what better time to do that than on a day dedicated to cleaning out the fridge.

Yessiree, folks, today is “National Clean Out Your Refrigerator Day”. The day you brave the dark recesses of your fridge and toss out that old food that is starting to look like a science project.

Mutations, be gone!

UFOs, too (Unidentified furry objects)...

Don't forget to check the door of the fridge. You just never know what you’ll find there.

  1. Everything seems to have its own day now! I wouldn't mind finding a little kitty in my fridge door. Mine is the size of a baby rhino, the fridge would explode!

  2. Lots of containers I don't even open -- I just toss them sight unseen. I don't need to look at or smell what's inside. I lose of a lot of Gladware this way.

    1. Sometimes it's best to toss without asking questions!

  3. For years I used to laugh whenever I looked in my sister's fridge - it seemed to only hold one thing - tons of condiments! An entire fridge devoted to spreads, dressings and james, lol! (This was before she had kids) I recently noted that over the past couple of years our fridge has slowly morphed into the same thing!

    1. That's what happens when kids leave home; our fridges start to empty. I think I'll be okay with that when it happens!

    1. We tend to do that when other people are in our home! We don't want to freak them out.

  5. I am with Debra. Anything that I sense even the slightest danger in goes right in the trash.

    1. I've done the same. Sometimes it's best not to know what you're dealing with!

  7. The cats in the fridge are Hilarious! Especially now because Guy Noir keeps jumping in there ... and in the dryer and in our clothes and in boxes, baskets, paper bags, and suitcases. :0

    1. Well, I wouldn't trust kitty either for that, particularly if she's sharpening her nails while saying so!
