Overview:

Fueled by an obsession to fill the void in other people's lives, Milla Edge finds lost children - all the while trying to outrun the brutal emotions stemming from a tragedy in her past. Traveling to a small village in Mexico on a reliable tip, Milla begins to uncover the dire fate of countless children who have disappeared in the labyrinth of a sinister baby-smuggling ring. The key to nailing down the organization may rest with an elusive one-eyed man. As Milla's search for him intensifies, the mission becomes more treacherous. For the ring is part of something far larger and more dangerous, reaching the highest echelons of power. Racing into peril, Milla suddenly finds herself the hunted in the crosshairs of an invisible, lethal assassin who aims to silence her permanently.

My Comments:

I put off reading this book because of the heartbreaking subject of child abductions. I was concerned that the story would be too psychologically intense and I’d become an emotional wreck. Which isn’t unheard of with me. So I took my time getting started. When I finally did give it a try, I let out a sigh of relief! Sure the story is somewhat intense, but at a level that is bearable. So, that being said... This is a pretty good suspense thriller that includes a steamy love story for those who like that sort of thing. I’m all for love stories, too, but only if they’re classy and deep, not trashy and cheap. I know, I know; a lame attempt at a rhyme.

Moving along...

Cry No More is mostly a rollercoaster ride, although it does have moments where it’s unusually slow. You will become very attached to Milla who has fervently dedicated her life to finding lost and missing children. A traumatic experience set her on this path ten years ago, and there is room for nothing else. I don’t want to spoil the story by revealing too much information. You’ll have to read it to find out the rest. It’s well worth it.
