“We cannot discount the lives of sensitive and intelligent creatures merely because they assume nonhuman form. The things that make life most precious and blessed - courage and daring, conscience and compassion, imagination and originality, fantasy and play - do not belong to our kind alone.”

This week’s end of the week smile is an overload of cuteness, and your heart may swell up too much and explode, so proceed with caution!
In a Russian zoo, after a baby chimpanzee was left without a mother (she either died or rejected her little one; it’s hard to find in-depth info on this story), one of the employees at the zoo took the little primate home to care for it. What a surprise it was when the employee’s dog who’d just given birth adopted the orphaned chimp and raised it along with her litter of puppies.
No need to say more. The photos below speak for themselves!
Okay...all together now... “Awwwwwww...”
A great weekend to all!
Oh that is so, so cute - especially the last pic. I love these tales of animals taking stray orphans under their wing.
ReplyDeleteI enjoy these stories, too. Nice to see animals being so caring for orphaned babies --- especially when the orphaned babies are another species!
DeleteIt's the IKEA monkey all over again!
ReplyDeleteI hope it's not like the IKEA monkey! That one is not a warm and fuzzy story!
DeleteO. O. O. Speechless at this overload of love and cuteness. You see, this just totally captures how I feel about humans having so much to learn from animals. P.S. Thank you so much for your kind, uplifting words Martha; they meant more to me than you can ever know.
ReplyDeleteI agree! I think we can learn a lot from animals. And no need to thank me. I just hope that you take care of yourself and stop worrying about this toxic individual. Just live your life surrounded by the people that make you happy.
Deleteaww too cute
ReplyDeleteSure is!
DeleteThe look of pure love and contentment in that last pic is undeniable. Love the diapers :)
ReplyDeleteThe diapers! I find that so cute!
DeleteOh my heart! It's stories like this that make me love the world.
ReplyDeleteMe, too :)
DeleteMother nature at her best.
ReplyDeleteYou said it!
DeleteThat is an Awww moment. Nice to look at something cute rather than snow falling.
ReplyDeleteYou bet it is. That's pretty much all I did yesterday - look at falling snow. We have way more than we'd like!
DeleteFirst photo....'What have I done'! expression on dog's face!! lol Great way to end the week Martha! Thanks! Now get back to shoveling! lol
ReplyDeleteHahaha...yes, that's what the first photo looks like! Are you shoveling yet?
DeleteWhat are you doing to me, Martha!! Not fair at all!!!
ReplyDeleteFeeling all warm and fuzzy, are we? :)
DeleteOh I love things like that. wish people could all be like that!
ReplyDeleteYes, if only people could be like that!
DeleteYet more evidence that animals have souls!
ReplyDeleteYup. Some of them better than human souls.
DeleteHow wonderful that she took the little one in. I love these types of stories. Hope you are well!
ReplyDeleteThese stories are very heartwarming. I am doing well, thank you, and I hope you are as well!
