Sunny Side Up

"I could not have slept tonight if I had left that helpless little creature to perish on the ground."
- Abraham Lincoln, US President -
(Reply to friends who chided him for delaying them by stopping to return a fledgling to its nest.)

Today’s post will put a smile on your face, and make you feel all warm and fuzzy. It is a collection of photos of first responders helping animals. These unsung heroes help restore my faith in humanity by showing compassion toward the most vulnerable and helpless.

  5. I saved a lost kitten once, nobody else cared except I. Kinda sad.

  7. Ohhhhhhhhhh... that koala... and that cat in the first picture... just look at his expression! But the men's expressions are just beautiful too -- absolutely gorgeous with such kindness and tenderness :*)

    1. It's the expressions that really get to me. The cat in the first photo looks so frightened and vulnerable. It really pulls at the heartstrings. That last photo gets to me simply by the way the animals paw is touching the human's hand. It's such a kind and loving gesture. A gesture of compassion and care.
