Chuckles and Chortles

So the vacation period is over and now we get back into the routine of life. But that’s okay. The past two weeks were spectacular; filled with day trips and outings and oodles of fun and hundreds of photographs. What more could we ask for? We are truly blessed and I am grateful for it all.

Today is the start of a brand new week, and another opportunity for me to try and tickle your funny bone. Let’s get started...

Funny Foreign English Phrases

- At a Budapest zoo:
PLEASE DO NOT FEED THE ANIMALS.
IF YOU HAVE ANY SUITABLE FOOD, GIVE IT TO THE GUARD ON DUTY.

- Doctor's office in Rome:
SPECIALIST IN WOMEN AND OTHER DISEASES.

- In the lobby of a Moscow hotel across from a Russian Orthodox monastery:
YOU ARE WELCOME TO VISIT THE CEMETERY WHERE FAMOUS RUSSIAN AND SOVIET COMPOSERS, ARTISTS, AND WRITERS ARE BURIED DAILY EXCEPT THURSDAY.

- A laundry in Rome:
LADIES, LEAVE YOUR CLOTHES HERE AND SPEND THE AFTERNOON HAVING A GOOD TIME.

- Advertisement for donkey rides, Thailand:
WOULD YOU LIKE TO RIDE ON YOUR OWN ASS?

- In a Japanese cemetery:
PERSONS ARE PROHIBITED FROM PICKING FLOWERS FROM ANY BUT THEIR OWN GRAVES.

So, did I get you to laugh? I certainly hope so.

Make it a great day, and a fantastic week!

    1. What? I never knew there was a max number of blogs you can follow!

    2. I had no idea that Blogger has a limit on how many blogs you can follow. Why would they even do that??

    3. There is a max number of 300. I was getting that error message for a very long time every time I tried to join a new blog - saying that I was already following the max number of 300. That's why I had to manually remember to visit most blogs. Quite the annoyance! But now it's all fixed :)

    4. That is interesting that they would have a maximum amount. I'm very far from that amount, so it's certainly nothing to worry about! Thanks for the info!

  7. These are so funny, where to start! Ok the fish one is my favorite, around here on one of the big lakes every weekend they arrest a boat-load of people for drunken boat driving! Seriously a boat-load! The foreign signs are hilarious too!

  13. O hahahahaaaaa.. I LOVE that one with the cat and dog together, and the towel sign is just brilliant (I am the sort who likes helping inanimate objects talk and move). Foreign sign humour is also always great!

    1. I can imagine a cat doing that to a dog, and that's why I also find that image so funny. And with my imagination, those towels would behave that way!

  14. Good ones! I always get a kick out of the inadvertent humor that shows up when translating from another language into English... especially Chinese.
