There is a beautiful world around us waiting to be discovered; all we have to do is step outside and look around. Sometimes we need a little encouragement. A reason. Motivation. Photography does all that for me. It inspires me to get outside, explore my surroundings and discover new things.
Below are things I’ve seen while out exploring with camera in hand...
Music is the universal language of mankind. |
Tied together to keep from drifting away. |
King Kong is alive and well in Niagara Falls, Ontario. In case you were wondering. |
The Old Stone Mill, located in Delta,Ontario, was built in 1810. It is fully restored and functional. |
"Hey...where's my bellybutton?" |

"Do these feathers make my butt look big?" |
Very still water. |
Why not just get into your food...literally? |

One of the performers at this year's Buskers Festival. I'll write more about this in the future. |
It's time to start wrapping up the garden. |
Wishing you all a great day!
These are truly amazing pictures. I love the Old Stone Mill picture the best.
ReplyDeleteThat Old Stone Mill is spectacular. We've gone to the town where it is a couple of times and I can't get over how beautiful it is.
DeleteDo you know if that's the same Old Stone Mill they featured on Kitchen Nightmares? And yes, I had been wondering about King Kong. Thanks :-)
ReplyDeleteNo, I don't think this one has ever been on that show! But it is beautiful.
DeleteIt looks just like the same building, too. Very nice.
DeleteI imagine a lot of them were built in the same architectural style (if they were built around the same time). There are a lot around here, and they're so beautiful to photograph.
DeleteFantastic photos . Yes photography motivates me to ! Thanks for sharing . Have a good week !
ReplyDeleteThanks Country Gal! Hope you are enjoying your day.

ReplyDeleteThank you, Lorraine for you nice message! It's always great to see you here :)
DeleteI enjoy your captions as much as the photos! Poor old King Kong desperately needs a new paint job. Looks like he has eczema or something.
ReplyDeleteI think so, too. He's probably itchy as hell with all the eczema. No wonder he's so damn angry. Poor furry bastard...
DeleteAnd I LOVE what you see, Martha! The second one really caught my attention on a couple of levels.
ReplyDeleteIt's near the water! A favourite place for me and my pals the three amigos!
DeleteGreat compositions today Martha.....ideas....great ideas!!
ReplyDeleteEven the simplest thing can make for a fun photograph. You just need to use the creative side of your brain and just look around! But then you know that :)

ReplyDeleteBoth fun shots. That poor guy looks like he's going to explode!
DeleteBeautiful photos, Martha! King Kong looks like he's becoming a zombie! A little peeling going on! Where would I be without music! Take care!
ReplyDeleteIt's time here in Phoenix to start unwrapping the garden! Love your photos Martha! I enjoy every one of them so much.
ReplyDeleteIt's so funny how different the seasons are for different areas of the world! I bet you welcome a little cooler weather. Ours will just keep getting colder and colder. But for now, it's still just gorgeous out!
