For All Their Arrogance, Cats Can Be Such Goofballs

Do you have a cat? Have you ever had a cat? Do you even like cats?

No matter.

I’ve had a few in my lifetime, and every time I think it’s the last time, I find myself at the humane society adopting yet another and starting all over again. The two I have now are pretty amazing. They don’t cause much trouble or do much damage, and they’re fairly quiet. This is a huge contrast to some of the live wires I’ve had in the past.

However, one thing they’ve all had in common is an air of superiority. They are convinced that they’re the most important creatures on earth. Immaculately groomed. Intelligent. Graceful.

But for all their haughtiness, they still manage at one point or another to act like goofballs, which chips away at that image they portray.

I’m ending this blogging week with this silly video of cats doing stupid things. The music is really fun, too.

(My favourite part begins at 0:12 with the rabbit and bunny. I laughed like an idiot at how that turns out. Watch the video and see what happens...)

(P.S - The original video posted was replaced with the one below because it went offline. Therefore, some of the comments on this post may not make sense.)

Debra's comment below is referring to this incident!

Wishing each and every one of you a wonderful weekend!

    1. Hope the weekend was good to you, Country Gal. Cats can be crazy sometimes, but some of them are pretty well behaved.

  2. My cat, Norbert can convince me that I am nothing until he has what we call "his silly 5 minutes". Then I realize he is just a crazy cat.

    1. Poor Sophie. She needs a furry friend! I'm surprised you haven't caved yet with that kitten. I can't anymore because I have two cats in the house, but you guys are open to one!

    2. Don't be tempting fate, Miss Marfa~~

    3. A little fate tempting is sometimes a good thing. And one little kitty could end up in a very good home because of it. 'Tis the season, you know, for good deeds :)

  10. Hard to pick a fave moment, Martha... the whole thing is so darn funny. Love to have a nickel for every hour I have "wasted" watching hilarious cat antics on Youtube. Though my two keep me pretty entertained (it's harder to see the humour when they are chasing each other through the house at 2:00 am LOL).

  14. I used to have a Persian cat, she was adorable, all hairy and she was so funny when she went around a circle trying to catch her tail.

    1. They sure are pretty cats those Persians. I had a neighbour once that would never have anything but Persians. She just adored them.

  18. I am a dog person but did have one very cool cat when I was a kid. He played fetch, cuddled and basically, acted like a dog. He even understood the command, sit. Very weird.
