Baby, It’s Cold Outside

Damn, but it’s cold outside. The type of cold where you feel like your spine is going to snap from the way your muscles stiffen and your body tenses up to keep warm. Yesterday, the temperature dipped to -23ºC (-9.4ºF). It went to -37ºC (-34.6ºF) with the wind chill! Brrrr.... And today it doesn’t look any better. I think it’s going to be awhile before we get those flip flops back on. Welcome to Canadian winter...

Seriously, January is such a sucky month. February isn’t much better, but at least by then you can say “next month, it’s March”, which means spring. Now all you can say is “next month it's...more...winter…”

What’s with young people these days? My daughter can’t handle the cold at all; she shivers like a leaf when we’re outside, and wants to be driven around everywhere. In addition to being invincible and immortal at 16, she should also be impervious to the cold. ‘Cause when I was her age...

Well, let’s wrap up the week with a hilarious video my husband sent me a link to. A friend of his sent the link to him. Yeah, these are the type of goofballs my life revolves around. Thank goodness...

Have a wonderful weekend, everyone!

  12. Our kids don't spend enough time in the outdoors to become accustomed to conditions. They would also find that they have to be active and dressed appropriately to be comfortable. Okay, that's my lecture!
