Photo Dump

“Photography is a love affair with life.”
- Burk Uzzle -

The world we live in is fascinating. Spectacular. Mesmerizing. I am in love with it. There is beauty all around me waiting to be discovered. And with my camera, I am able to possess those fleeting moments of joyfulness for all eternity.

Here are this week’s round of photos...

I'm always happiest taking a stroll in forest areas.

Something to satisfy the sweet tooth.

It took me awhile to notice this little critter. Pretty good camouflage!

Looks like I've got a captive audience.

A colourful home in a colurful setting.

The autumn season has come and gone, but the photos allow me a glimpse back.
What are you so angry about, little seagull?

I spend a lot of time taking photos in the country; one of my favourite places to explore.

Peek-a-boo!

What the country looks like right after autumn splendour ends.

Happy Tuesday!

  4. Martha, it's so nice to be visiting you again.
I have been feeling very poorly for over a month and half now and not visiting blogger friends.
So glad I stopped by here today as your photos brought me joy, thank you and happy and wonderful New Year to you and your family.

  6. Great photos! I love nature, too. When our lives get really busy and hectic, we sometimes forget and become ungrateful for all the goodness in the world. There is lots of delight and beauty to see -- as you have just proven. I enjoy being around people who are optimistic and jovial. Thanx for reminding me. Cheers!!

    1. Life certainly does get in the way for all of us. But we try to get out and enjoy nature as much as possible. I also like being around people who are optimistic and jovial. A great sense of humour is something I love!

  8. Your captions work well to complete the scenes. The seagull looks like he's saying "Alright, just get the picture over with so I can get on with business. Damn paparazzi."

    Be well, Martha.

    1. Sounds just about right about the seagull. And I bet he was expecting some type of reward for that pose. He got nothing, and was even grumpier after that... :)

  10. What the HELL is that bug critter thing? I do not like the hairiness of his appendages. I can just imagine him brushing up against my skin and being impossible to unstick, much like a june bug. *shudder*
