Chuckles and Chortles

Happy Monday, everyone. Was it a good weekend? Ours was pretty laid back. It was snowing when I woke up Saturday morning, but the day warmed up and most of it melted away. I can actually see the grass now!

When I was on spring blog break, one of the things I did was convert an unused bedroom into a photo studio/arts and crafts room. I want a space where I can practice my photography year round no matter the weather. I also built myself a lightbox , which will be great for doing things like this:

I’ve been having fun photographing scenarios with miniature figures. I hope to put together many more over time, which will accomplish two things: 1) I’ll get plenty of practice with photography and 2) I’ll have fun while doing it. I plan on creating quite a few imaginary scenes that I’ll share with you in the future. Hey, we all have to do something that makes us happy, right?

Right.

Well, since we're all here together, let’s get to this week’s funny stuff!

Wishing you all a beautiful day!

  1. Happy Monday to you. Love the creative room you put together for yourself. And the light box is something I've been meaning to make for food shots but still haven't done it. It's such a great idea.

    Happy Monday and boogie boogie.

    2. I think I will love it. Because at night, it's a hassle to take shots.

Just finished shooting today's bakes. Haven't looked at them yet but hopefully, the light was bright enough.

    1. There are many places to get little people from. If you're searching, google train models or scale figurines or miniature figures. Something like that. Also, check Ebay and Etsy.

How wonderful to now have your own photography studio.and lightbox (loved that first shot)
You take great photos now and now you can enjoy photography all the more.
The last photo really is so funny as I had a friend that was always telling her cat, 'get down' haha, it never worked ....

    1. No, it never works with cats! It seems I never learn either...

It will be great having a place to be creative in. Winters are long here, and sometimes very hard, so an indoor location will be fun. Rainy days, too!

  13. So funny ~ especially the Canadian driveway one! If I had a dollar for every Canadian driveway I shoveled, I could stay at the Royal Hawaiian instead of the Royal Grove. LOL! But I love the Royal Grove! It's real! Have a good week, Martha!

    1. No, that's not my kitty; although it could be because she does stuff like that. Mine is pure black; not another mark on her.

I love my little room, and I'm so happy I did that. The room was just sitting there doing nothing; at least now it'll be used.
