Speaking of clocks, we are setting them forward this weekend, which means that it will get darker much later. The days just keep getting longer and longer. Yahoo to that! Now, if only the temperatures would rise to sweater-wearing levels and all the snow would melt so we can ditch the boots, coats, scarves, gloves, hats...and on and on and on. We’ll get there eventually, right? Right???

At the rate we're going... (Saw this on a friend's Facebook page. He's got a wonderful blog, too. Click here to visit.) |
A wonderful weekend to each and every one of you!
I am not looking forward to losing an hour of sleep this weekend!!
ReplyDeleteAt least it'll take longer to get dark, which is great!
DeleteThe snow here is finally melting so maybe Spring will come. Maybe.
ReplyDeleteI hope so, Birdie. I'm really tired of it. Ready for some colour and warm weather!
DeleteJust one question... the title is about things you said to dogs and the first paragraph you're talking about your daughter boyfriend... should we make a connection? hahahaha
ReplyDeleteThank you so much to have my blog link :)
Have a great weekend too Martha
Hahaha...I assure you it was just a coincidence! My daughter's boyfriend is a great guy. And the more I get to know him, the more I like him. He treats her well, and she seems very happy. That's what matters.
DeleteMartha, time just passes to quickly in the presence of those we care about.
ReplyDeleteWe must treasure those memories.
I look forward to the longer days and hoping spring comes soon.
Loved that video, so funny.
Have a great weekend.
x
You got it, Margie. We must treasure the moments we have with the people we care about. Life is too short not to!
DeleteHi Martha.... verrrrrry silly video.. Hahaaa and I hate ... loathe and despise DST ... no sense to it... but I will enjoy the longer days ... but wouldn't the days be just as long on regular time? Yates and Charlie left this morning ... feels really weird around here... haven't quite realized they're gone yet... and you're right ... the clock keeps just ticking away... sure does
ReplyDeleteYou are right, Carolyn; the days would be longer regardless. But what I like about this time change is that it will take longer to get dark! Eventually, it'll still be daylight until 9 PM, and that makes me happy!
Deletethe coat one was really funny
ReplyDeleteIt sure was!
DeleteI really liked your failed installation of Spring. Of course, you had a great week with your daughter and her boyfriend. Don't you find you cherish and savour these visits/memories long after they've left?! Have a great weekend as the temperatures finally get above 0.
ReplyDeleteI do, Cathy! I'm still smiling days after they've left. And now that your son is away for university, you know exactly what that feels like!
DeleteLove this as always now if only my sound would work I'll have to listen to it on my new laptop have a great weekend
ReplyDeleteI hope you get it going, Lorraine. There are so many great videos to be seen -- and heard!
DeleteNice to have your daughter visiting - hope you had a great time. I hope spring arrives sometime soon .... but I think we're having trouble "loading" ! and I hear we're in for a wicked summer. yikes!
ReplyDeleteI hope it's not one of those super hot and super dry summers! That would be horrible. We had one not too long ago, and it was awful. The garden really suffered, too, and I lost some plants because of it.
