“Most people don't take snapshots of the little things. The used Band-Aid, the guy at the gas station, the wasp on the Jell-O.
But these are the things that make up the true picture of our lives. People don't take pictures of these things.”
- Robin Williams as Sy Parrish in One Hour Photo -
Well, I’m certainly one of those people; the type that take pictures of the little things. Because they truly make up the picture of my life on a daily basis. One simple moment at a time.

Have a great day, blog pals!
The 'ordinary' is the best, Martha. These are all the ordinary things we pass by in our lives every day without notice, mostly. But when we stop/pause and take a look we see that this is what life is all about.
ReplyDeleteYou bet, Jim. Ordinary things are what make up a big chunk of my life. And I'm not complaining when I say that!
DeleteGood morning, Martha ... beautiful, as always. Love the reflections especially and love everyday stuff. We are all so connected ... in so many ways... ;)
ReplyDeleteWe sure are connected, Carolyn. In many, many ways...
DeleteYou are right - it's the little every day moments that are the most beautiful to capture on camera. LOVE the couple's reflection in the pond and also the pic of the beautiful robin :)
ReplyDeleteI am just starting to pay attention to reflections, and making a real effort to capture some. That's the beauty of photography...there is always something new to enjoy.
DeleteYour photos are beautiful as usual. They may be every day moments, but apparently you see beauty around you. Great job!
ReplyDeleteThanks for that! I think you do the same. Carrying a camera around at all times is vital in capturing these moments.
DeleteI'm with you Martha!
ReplyDeleteAnything and everything are my subjects...
Great examples of ordinary...no, extraordinary things!
Cheers!
Linda :o)
Whatever is worthy of pressing the shutter button :)
Deleteand great photos are they. its the little things that make the big things - whoa! how profound is that - lol! (laughing at how nuts i can be). fabulous post! cheers!!
ReplyDeleteHahaha...yes, that is quite profound!
DeleteThese pictures are amazing! You have such a great eye for the moment and the scenery. I love them all :) As for taking pics of the little every day things - that's what I use my iPhone for - way too many times a day ;) I agree 100% though - those are the pictures that tell about our lives :)
ReplyDeleteWell, I don't have an iPhone, but I do carry a compact camera in my purse all the time. I never leave home without it. You just never know what you'll run across.
DeleteNice shots! Love all the reflections.
ReplyDeleteThanks, Linda!
DeleteGorgeous shots, Martha.
ReplyDeleteYou have a 'great eye'
Thanks for the sharing of your photos, loved them all :)
Thank you, Margie. It is a pastime that brings me a lot of joy. I guess it's my way of meditating.
Deleteawesome photos
ReplyDeleteThanks, Adam!
Deletesome really beautiful pictures! love the magnolia .... our's are in full bloom and I just love how they look! we have both white and yellow
ReplyDeleteMagnolia trees are gorgeous when they're in bloom. And both yellow and white are so pretty. Actually, any colour blooms on magnolias is fabulous!
DeleteYou have some excellent suburbia reflection photos.
ReplyDeleteThanks, Red.
DeleteSo many lovely images.
ReplyDeleteThank you!
DeleteAll, amazing but number one gets my Top Pick.
ReplyDeleteI love taking shots of windows, especially when there are reflections. I've been really busy lately, and haven't had much time for photography, but today I made it a point of stepping outside in the garden to take some shots. I really needed that creative break!
DeleteCreative breaks, even from creative projects are so wonderful to take. Glad you took one.
DeleteRight now as I type, I have a test batch of mini cinnamon rolls in the Easy Bake Oven.
Mini cinnamon rolls! YUMMY! We are all fans of that here. But preferably homemade. I've tried commercial types, and I don't like them.
DeleteSuburbia reflections! Awesome! You should enter that in a show! Loved them all but that one was my favourite!
ReplyDeleteThanks, Francie. I will definitely consider that. Even suburbia has something to offer...LOL...
