Chuckles and Chortles

Aaaaaaaaaaand...we’re back! Can you believe it’s Monday again? It feels like I wished you all a beautiful weekend just an hour ago and BAM it’s come and gone. Oh, well... Was it a good one? I hope it was.

Did I mention I signed up for another photography class? I did. And on Saturday morning we went on a photo shoot to practice. I wandered around taking photos, which included the image below. And it dawned on me while I was composing the shot that fishing is a lot like photography; a solitary, meditative activity.

I was extremely quiet when I was near this man. I did not
want to disturb his own solitary time more than necessary.

We went on a road trip yesterday to the neighbouring town of Bath. We took a scenic route, which runs parallel to the Lake Ontario shoreline, and stopped a few times along the way to enjoy the beautiful wonders we are fortunate enough to have close to home.

A day near the water with the most amazing man in the world is the best kind of day.

Today is gorgeous, so I’m going to dedicate some time to the garden. And later this evening, I have my final photography class, which I’m looking forward to.

But right now, let’s get to why we’re all here, which is to laugh out loud!

Well that explains a few things...

Some people are in dire need of this!

Make it a great day, everyone!

  1. You are so right about fishing. Sometimes I fly fish. I don't want to catch anything. I just want to stand in a river and not be disturbed. There must be easier ways of finding solitude!

Thanks for the giggle. Have a great week!

    1. Thanks, Sarah. I hope you are having a great week so far! That type of solitude sounds lovely, and easy enough. Just being near the water would do it for me!

    1. Yup. We saw some ducks and some geese, which is always a treat. I love photography classes. You learn so much from the people that do it professionally and from other students who do it as a hobby. I hope to attend more classes over time.

It was fun being back in a photography class. I've got oodles of photos to share, but haven't had the time to sort through all of them.

  9. Great photos Martha, glad to see summer has finally arrived in your neck of the woods! I did chuckle and chortle! The last pic is even worse if YOU are the one having to count back the change, like in the olden days before the computerized register just figured it out for you!!

    1. Well, it did keep our minds sharp. Now the machines do everything.

I'm so happy that the beautiful weather is here after the nasty winter we had.

    1. I think a lot of people are in need of the cone of shame! Perhaps it's the only way for them to notice the world around them --- and other people, too!

Yes, Lake Ontario is quite lovely. It's the smallest great lake, but it leaves an impression.
