For example, yesterday we rode through a pathway between homes that leads to a tiny park near the lake. We parked our bikes to take a closer look...
...and discovered this view:
Breathtaking. And peaceful. We stayed for awhile to take some photos and soak in the magnificence of this isolated area.
So we’re obsessed with bike-riding, and I hope it continues for awhile. But this morning, let’s all gather here for a chuckle or two...
A beautiful day to all!
Good morning Martha,
ReplyDeleteLove the facebook status... would not be surprise that some do that right after the ceremony :)
Be also bike, love to discover new bike path.
Richard, you've surfaced. I knew you couldn't stay away. Must be my charming personality...LOL... Biking...love it! It's our new obsession. At least it's a healthy obsession :)
DeleteThe wedding one is true
ReplyDeleteYes, very true! Sadly...
DeleteHa ha! The cat on the tv is very funny! Thanks for providing some Monday morning laughs.
ReplyDeletePoor kitties. No warm televisions to sleep on anymore :)
DeleteBeautiful view! Yay for bike riding! Love it! :)
ReplyDeleteYes, YAY for bike riding. Such a fun activity.
DeleteI share your cycling enthusiasm. I do a minimum of 1000 km per year.
ReplyDeleteThat is fabulous! It's a wonderful way to stay in shape. And you get to see so many things as you ride along.
DeleteI sneak my own snacks into the movies when I'm going to the big chain Cineplexes. Screw the Corporate Giants! They don't need any more of my money! But when I go to our locally-owned arthouse cinema, I buy their outrageously overpriced goodies just to help them keep the cashflow going.
ReplyDeleteI do the same, Debra, especially with popcorn. I can't stand their popcorn. Too salty, and weighed down by all the oil (or grease or lard...). After eating that crappy popcorn, I'd feel sick all night. Now I air pop some at home and we sneak it in. No guilt! No shame!
Deletefunny ones today Martha! Bike riding's so healthy too.
ReplyDeleteIt sure is, Christine!
DeleteLovely little park. always so nice to discover things like that eh? And thanks for the smiles today! Loved the cat on the TV set! hahahaha!
ReplyDeleteIt's amazing how there's always something new to see no matter where you live. Quite an incredible world we live in.
DeleteEvening, Martha ;) what a pretty park and love your bike riding hobby. I used to love to do that. Wonder if I could still peddling... I'd love to get one of those trikes with a basket ~ HAHaaaa the cats on the teevee.. yep! and MINE tried to jump on the 9million dollar TV and knocked it over ... killed it dead and it was just a few month's old...
ReplyDeletewe were not happy ...
I bet you could still peddle, Carolyn. It's such a fun way to get around, and a great way to exercise.
DeleteI remember you mentioned the broken TV. That is just awful. And you must have freaked!
Hey Martha,
ReplyDeleteHow's it goin', eh. Nothing like a bit of biking. I had a close up look at the water and I'm sure I can see Ogopogo! :)
Gotta love those photo captions. And speaking of "Farcebook", did you know I'm one of your adoring fans on your FB page? Yep, it's true, eh.
Gary :)
I didn't know you were a fan, Gary! Nice to have you onboard :) I started that page to add fun and interesting things that I stumble across, but it's never been hugely active. Still. I keep it going.
DeleteYup, biking is great. Love it. We stopped doing it for awhile, and ever time we get on these days, I ask "Why didn't we continue?"
Oh my gosh, that last one. Too much.
ReplyDeleteMy weekend was filled with bakes and we stayed in the entire two days. Leaves are already falling in our backyard. Looks pretty. I love it.
Happy New Week!
Happy week to you, too, Wonder Woman! Sometimes we do that, too, just stay indoors. Usually during the colder months. We try to squeeze in outdoor stuff this time of year. Winters are very long and hard some years, and there'll be plenty of indoor days. Unless our battery is burnt. Then we stay inside to re-energize, no matter the time of year. I bet you baked some fabulous goodies!
DeleteOh Martha, what you see, what you take photos of is so awesome, it leaves breathless, and then I can't catch my breath 'cause I'm laughing like crazy, beautiful and funny, that IS SO You and the most wonderful man in the world....lol have a great day!
ReplyDeleteI'm so glad you enjoyed, Lorraine! What would we do without humour? Not a day goes by that I don't laugh out loud about something! Best vitamin of the day :)
DeleteHow about that awesome view!? Wow. And the Moses Salon picture made my laugh my butt off! :)
ReplyDeleteWe're very fortunate. We live in such a beautiful place with many gorgeous views.
DeleteI know...that salon photo is hilarious!
I too have been so enjoying biking, and the best part of it is being with hubby. We love our times together in mother nature.
ReplyDeleteThose are wonderful shots Martha .
Loved all the funnies ...
Being with hubby is definitely the best part, Margie! I feel that way, too. And I love being outdoors in this amazing world.
DeleteIS it OK to be envious of your bicycle-riding fanaticism?! We are entertaining the idea to get bikes again......we LIVED on our bikes for years! I hope you keep enjoying yours for years to come, Martha.
ReplyDeleteNow to the funnies....loved them all especially the last one!! Cats are schizophrenic I believe.
Of course it's okay, and maybe you'll start riding again! At least I'm encouraging good things :)
DeleteCats...they are...um...'unique'... LOL...
