Chuckles and Chortles

Happy Monday, blogging friends! Was it a nice weekend for you? I certainly hope so. We spent most of it biking (no surprises there, right?) and exploring and snapping a gazillion photos. And yesterday we were restless once again, so we decided to visit another area. I’ll let you guess where we went. (It might be easier for my Canadian friends to figure it out.)

Here’s a hint:

This bridge was constructed by the Canadian Pacific Railway between 1898 and 1900,
and runs across a river between two cities in two different provinces.

Not sure yet? Here’s another hint:

I just discovered recently that one of my cameras takes self-portraits, so we decided to try it out.

Behind us is the iconic building that is home to Canada's Senate, House of Commons and Library of Parliament.

Did you guess where we went?

Yesiree, we threw our bikes into the car and headed over to Ottawa, our nation’s capital, and the fourth largest city in this amazing country. We spent the entire day touring the area (you can cover a lot of ground on bikes), and I was reminded once again just how beautiful this city is. And unbelievably bike-friendly, too. I’ll share photos in the future.

But right now at this very moment, it’s time to laugh...

A spectacular day to all!

    1. I thought about you all day while we were there! Our trips have been spontaneous with no room for planning, but next time, we'll plan our trip in advance, so I can invite you to come join us somewhere for coffee/tea, etc, if you'd like. I'd love to meet you, Lorraine. That would be awesome.

    1. Yup, thanks to lots of tax $$$! It is an amazing city with an abundance of things to see and do. We spent the entire day there (didn't get back till 11 PM), and we could've spent another couple of days and still not been done.

Don't you just love that introvert cartoon! Had me laughing like crazy. Yes, only an introvert understands these things.

    1. I've missed opportunities to meet some blogging friends, Linda, but our visits are spontaneous, which makes it impossible to plan anything! Hopefully we visit these areas again, and plan those visits in advance!

  14. Yesterday I lost all my blogs all my photos because i decided to close google. I couldn't sleep I was so miserable, and \i realized that it was not for all the photos I lost (although I got them back well with google) but I realized that I wasn't upset because I lost all my photos, I was upset because I lost all my blog friends, I have grown to love you all so much, that not being able to visit tore me apart. So i went to google increased the amount of photos I could post and went looking for all my friends you're the ones that matter to me, that I have started caring for so much, a lesson to learn that i'll never forget
