Chuckles and Chortles

Happy Monday, everyone. How was your weekend? Ours was half bleh and half wonderful. Most of the week has been miserable. So with a cold but wonderfully sunny day finally showing up yesterday, we headed out to enjoy it and take images. But the autuman splendour is just about done. There was more of this than anything else:

Well, at least we got out. Then we all went for supper to a restaurant near our place. It was busy and the service was ve-e-e-ry slow. A couple of booths down there was a woman sipping a glass of wine as she waited for her food. She finished the wine. No food. Then most of her glass of water. Still no food. Her meal finally arrived when the lemon in her glass of water began disintegrating. And she ate without a drink. Without the glass of wine that she probably planned on enjoying with her meal.  This made me sad for some reason. *sigh*

First world problems...

Anyhow, let’s get to the funny stuff...

Wishing you all a fabulous day!

    1. He's still around, but not as visible as he used to be. I'm not sure what he's up to these days.

  2. Please don't sue me, I copy one of the poster on my facebook... Personally I'm not that faithful... if I run out of white, I'll just go for the red! Hahaha

    1. Apostrophes are used way too much, and not in the right way!

  8. All hilarious! Especially the apostrophe. A couple of times this summer, hubby and I passed stands that sold fresh strawberry's! Gack!

And there is something sort of sad about a disintegrating lemon...

    1. That apostrophe has to be the most overused (and wrongly used) of all! Drives me nuts.

    1. BAHAHAHA! That is the best commercial. My brother, who LOVED it, introduced it to me when it was running (since I don't watch too much TV), and I thought it was hilarious! I think IKEA has a lot of good commercials.

  11. Hysterical, Martha! Loved them all, especially the teleport one! I'm forever wishing Scotty would beam me up! The musical piece by Jarbas Agnelli was pretty and fascinating. And I like how he matched the music to the crows' positions both visually and with sound. Thank you for sharing that. Have a good week!

    1. Wouldn't it be great if you could stand on one of those things and experience teleportation? I'd be doing it all the time! LOL... Yes, that musical piece is pretty amazing. That is a man with talent!

  13. The one that most resonates with me is the "high apostrophe intelligence." In fact, is that a cartoon or did someone snap a photo of me?

    Take care, Martha.

  15. Ah! Apostrophes in the wrong places can be pretty annoying! Enjoyed the teleport one. And...that definitely doesn't sound like a pleasant experience for the lady at the restaurant: slow service at restaurants and long lines at cash registers are two things I really dislike!

    1. I think a lot of people were unhappy at the restaurant. It was slow all around. Either they were short staffed, or they weren't prepared to be that busy.

  17. We've had almost non-stop rain up this way. I found a brief stretch with no rain this afternoon and got out for a walk. It is supposed to be sunny tomorrow and I hope they are right!
