Chuckles and Chortles

Happy Monday, everyone. I hope the weekend was good to you. Rumour has it that some areas got snow. Maybe yours? Thankfully, we didn’t experience that. I’d hate to have a repeat of last year; a very difficult winter that arrived in November and stuck around until the end of March. And reluctantly called it quits sometime in April. I shudder to think of that happening again, especially since this autumn has been crappy.

Anyhow, enough with the bellyaching, eh? Let’s get to the funny stuff!

Have a beautiful day!

  1. Thankfully no snow around my neck of the woods yet. Unfortunately we have some forecasted for Tuesday though; I'm hoping the meteorologist is wrong. The salt shakers are terrible but funny!

    1. I'm hoping the snow doesn't arrive until at least mid December! Winter is long enough around here, so I don't mind if it's delayed!

  5. These are all great! I remember the "bear at door" news story -- the postie took a photo of the bear too in case he wasn't believed, LOL. We got snow here in Edmonton and it will be -18 by tomorrow, so hello winter!

    1. It's much too early for that! I don't want this time of weather to get here before mid December or so.

  9. Oh my good gosh, I laughed out loud, seriously at that last one. Great stuff.

Yes, snow here this weekend. And when we hit Erie on Saturday the craft stores were filled with Canadians. There's a bus that travels down a little less north. Let me tell ya, these Canadian Crafters mean business. They bring rollable suitcases into AC Moore. It's great.

    1. I know, right? That last one is hilarious. I can just picture him sitting all grumpy and stuff at the park watching people.

Hahahaha! I laughed with those Canadian shoppers. Yes, they really do mean business. Hunting for good bargains.

    2. Glad you laughed, I didn't want to offend. We live close. We get lots of Canadian shoppers here, just a little less north.

Apple crumble cooling for tomorrow. New test batch crumble top.

    3. OHMYGOSH...no way do I get offended that easily! Joke away, Wonder Woman. I've got a great sense of humour!

I bet there are only a few crumbs left of that apple crumble!

  11. Salt and pepper? Perhaps the woman has got the salt. I know a story from the bible which tells that the one who looks back would turn into salt ( if I'm not mistaken of course, I think I heard the story from childhood in a Sunday school)

Newly signed divorce papers? Hahaha. They're all funny!

    1. I hope there are many days left with +15C before winter arrives. I'm good with that, Jim! No complaints from me :)

  13. Of all the tyrants that have lived on the Earth, God decides to turn a woman to salt for looking back. I'm glad the Old Testament is a myth, it's very disturbing. Including of what Lot did with his daughters.

    1. I totally agree with you, Adam. That's why I laugh at these things. I don't take them seriously because I think they're total nonsense.

  14. HAHAHAAAA and THAT was THE tuning point for my blindly accepting the bible as a belief system... I was 8 and I reference Lot and Sara as the final straw ! It was ALWAYS the woman who either messed up or vexed men ~ Samson and Delilah and Salome and lets not forget what Eve did to condemn us all....

Dr. Seuss makes more sense... or Pooh Bear

    1. I totally agree, Carolyn! And that's certainly a reason I strayed very far away from my upbringing in religion. It's always the woman. And men are always at an advantage. Hissss on that!
