Pick a Cookie, Any Cookie

Well, I love sugar and butter cookies most. And both of those choices make me painfully unoriginal. Ho hum...

What about you? What does your Christmas cookie say about you?

  1. I love that you're posting more. I am cookie number one. Because yes, I do think I'm cute.

    Happy Christmas. Fun, fun, fun.

    1. Yes, you are most definitely cute. Super cute, in fact. I used to post every day once upon a time, and then I stopped because I needed the break on weekends. But every December, I post daily. 'Cause it's the Christmas period!

    2. I can understand wanting time off on the weekends. I used to do that as well.

  2. Wow! What a trip down memory lane, Martha! I've baked a lot of these cookies. I think the funniest were the Girl Guide cookies ~ which I used to sell decades ago. I've made countless batches of sugar cookies for Christmas which lots of kiddos have iced with me. And those candy cane cookies. My mom used to made them ~ how could I forget???? I'm making those peanut butter kisses cookies this year for our Barbour descended nieces and nephews and Terry's Mom's whiskey cookies. So many cookies, so many fragrant warm memories. Thank you! Thank you, my friend!

    1. So many cookies, so little time :) Wouldn't it be wonderful if they helped us lose weight? We can certainly dream! This time of year is even more fun for baking these treats, particularly when you share them with others.

  4. There would only be one that I would pick. The shortbread. And yes, I do indeed herald from the UK, but I do not (under any circumstances) have a box of PG Tips stashed in my handbag ... that I can assure you :)

Give me a plain water cracker/wafer and a slice of ripe blue cheese ... then you'd be talking!

The cracker of wafer with cheese is a delicious treat! Yummy.

  11. Martha, I don't bake many cookies anymore, but our Christmas treats are the same from year to year. Why play around with what works?

None of my cookies are on this poster :)
