Chuckles and Chortles

Happy Monday, blogging pals. How was your weekend? Good, I hope. Ours was pretty laid back, which is pretty much how it usually is this time of year. We spend most of our time indoors, especially during the months of January and February. I don’t handle the cold well. I shiver from head to toe during the winter, and as I get older, it gets worse. I shouldn’t be here! I’m not made for this type of climate with my Mediterranean roots. Beach and sun and warmth. I’m built for that. I could do that. That’s where I belong.

Oh well, I’m here, so I may as well make the best of it. And what better way to do that than with some laughter...

Thank goodness for modern medicine...

A wonderful day to all!

  1. A year in Canada and a year in Iowa seem quite alike! I'm with you on moving to a warmer climate! Sun and beaches sound fantastic...

    1. If it wasn't for my kids, Bethany, my husband and I would have moved to a warmer place! You're young and free, so if that's what you'd like to do, now's the time!

  2. LOL with the cartoons; loved the last one with the anesthesiologist :) I do remember the days we lived in Montana (8 years). I got cold in October and I never warmed up until June. It was amazing how many bundles I could put on and still feel cold. Then we moved back to Southern California, very pleasant weather. Can't beat the weather there, but the cost of living, well, everyone pays to enjoy the winter weather :) Now we just moved to Arizona, high desert in Prescott, 5200 feet altitude. It gets a bit of cold weather, but not the extremes like Montana. So far I can live with it :)

Hope the week is a kind one!

    1. I'm not a fan of extreme heat either, girl, but if given a choice, I'd rather have that. When it's ridiculously cold, you can't spend much time outdoors, but when it's hot, you can. Under the shade. Or swimming. Something. But winter...ugh...bleh...

  4. That Canadian pie chart is absolutely right! I bet you kinda wish your parents had chosen Australia over Canada, eh? Just think of it -- eternal summer . . . .

    1. Every year during the winter, you have no idea how many times I wish it had turned out that way. Then spring arrives and I think that there's no place I'd rather be than Canada :) LOL...
