“Every time I see an adult on a bicycle I no longer despair for the future of the human race.”
- H.G. Wells -
Are you tired of winter? Eagerly anticipating spring? In need of warmer weather? Greenery? Visits need the water? Maybe even riding a bike?
Well, I can’t change the weather or get spring to arrive earlier, but I can share photos that will provide some hope. Hope for better days ahead. So hop on a bike and come ride with me and the most amazing man in the world. I promise we’ll spot some interesting things along the way...
...like lots of greenery to satisfy the nature lover.
And greenery combined with water.
So peaceful. So wonderfully scenic.
We'll stumble across forgotten places...
...and discover some very interesting things to photograph!
We'll make friends along the way...
...and be pleasantly surprised at just how close we can get to some of them.
And we will make sure to stop by the water for a little while..
...to enjoy the view and rejuvenate our very soul!
Wasn't that a fun ride? I hope you enjoyed it as much as we did. Have a great day, everyone!
Thanks for the ride this morning Martha,
ReplyDeleteI wonder how can a house sink in the water, it's a big house, must have been a large family... sad but it made an excellent pics with the reflection!
It's actually a boat house, which makes more sense as to why it's sinking. It's still kind of sad, though; it's a beautiful boat house.
DeleteLovely old boathouse that one!
ReplyDeleteSure is!
DeleteGorgeous, absolutely gorgeous. Oh, how I've missed your beautiful scenery!
ReplyDeleteThanks, girl. Nice to have you back in blog land!
DeleteOh my you did a number on my heart this morning, the house in the water I'd move in, I'd call it my Poseidon summer house but I'd move in the red cabin in the water made sure that it had some electrical, Power, why is there no empty houses any where here, it's like the second one appears, it's destroyed and they build ...Love and yearn for all your photos oh Girl
ReplyDeleteI'll be going back this year to check on that boathouse again, Lorraine. Chances are it has sunk even deeper, so I don't see you moving in there any time soon! LOL... Still. It's kind of sad what state it reached. Abandoned and forgotten.
DeleteI love the green; living in a desert you just don't see those colors of green! How interesting with the house sinking in the water; wonder the history behind that! I did enjoy your ride :)
ReplyDeletebetty
I can imagine how different it is where you live. There is certainly a lot of green around here, but sadly, there is also a long winter period with nothing but grey and white!
DeleteNice place for a bike ride. Great photos and reflections!
ReplyDeleteIt is a very beautiful area. We'll be returning again this year.
DeleteI can't wait to get out and ride again. It will be along time before it's green again here.
ReplyDeleteYou and me both! It'll be nice to dust off the bike and get back on it. That first ride will be very exciting.
Deletewow at that house
ReplyDeleteI know, right? Pretty shocking.
Deleteenjoying your warm photos...and wow that cottage really did sink!
ReplyDeleteIt did. I also think it should be cleared out instead of falling into the lake.
DeleteGreat photos. I've got my spring banner drawn and looking forward to posting it.
ReplyDeleteBut ... I'm still enjoying winter. Though also super excited to get to growing herbs, which I'l
be starting SOOOONNNN.
Lime cookies in the oven, as I type.
It's been really cold and I'm quite tired of it. I'm really looking forward to warmer days, so I can get out more.
Deletegreat photos made me forget about the cold weather and snow for a short while!!
ReplyDeleteWe can forget at least for a little while; pretend spring is back :)
DeleteI love nature as much as I love life. These scenery you've shown us is one the bests. Quiet & unpolluted. The greenery with water is just a perfect view for me. The house's reflection on water...I so love it. Thanks for the ride. It was fun & refreshing.
ReplyDeleteThanks for coming along for the ride. Being out in nature is my favourite thing in the world!
DeleteI want to jump into one of those photos right now! Green, green aww! What a lovely place to be!
