    1. It is actually my neighbour's magnolia. But because a significant part of it hangs over our fence, it becomes part of our garden.

  8. The close-up detail on that final flower is fantastic! Must be a domestic crocus of some description, I would think.

    1. It's the Pulsatilla vulgaris (Pasque-flower), which certainly produces crocus-like flowers. This is one of my favourite plants in the garden.
