A To Z Of Gratitude: B

B is for Beach

The sound of crashing waves, the feeling of wet sand between your toes, the scent of salty air, the reconnecting to earth as you walk along the shore...there’s no place I’d rather be than at the beach. It stirs my emotions, awakens my senses and speaks to my very soul.

It is breathtaking during the day even when it’s overcast.

And magical at night as the sun goes down.

But especially delightful when you share it with someone you love.

The beach dispels the stress of daily life and brings about a blissful state of calm.

Do you like the beach?

  8. The beach is a part of my soul. I grew up on the beach, but not the type you strip down to your swim suit. The kind where you have to throw on a sweater to block the wind. I love how it clears my mind

    1. The best place to do just that. I love being near the water. We don't have oceans here but we do have many lakes and rivers, and that certainly helps.

  10. I grew up right on the east coast. We were at the shore a lot but I wasn't big into being in the water. Though when I moved to the great northwest, I missed having the beach right there. Even though I didn't swim.

    Great pictures.

    1. I like being in the water but only if it's warm. I have visited Maine, for example, and found the water to be bone-chilling cold. I didn't dip more than a toe in it! I shivered watching others swim in it. I don't know how they do it.
