Question Of The Day

Which song makes you want to jump up and dance?

I love to dance and there are many songs that will get me going. But when this one comes on...

...I just can't control myself. Footloose by Kenny Loggins is my weakness. Even now I'm tapping my feet as I listen to it while preparing this blog post.

Do you like to dance? And is there a song that makes you want to jump up and shake your booty?

Have a lovely weekend, everyone!

Like your choice ... mine is any music for instance we have a great Mark Knopfler CD playing at the moment and I'm dancing (and singing) to a track called Secondary Waltz. You can move to any music can't you?

  6. I have medical conditions that prevent me from dancing; My foot are too long, my toes are crook, my left and my right feet just doesn't follow beats, and all I want is "Ah, ha, ha, ha, stayin' alive, stayin' alive.
Ah, ha, ha, ha, stayin' alive."

  8. Hi Martha,

Yikes and now I've got "Footloose" whirling around in my head! :) I love to dance and I predict that "Do the Bartman" is about to be re-released on the charts. I shall be dancing to that song. Then again, I dance like the drunken dad at the wedding!

    Have a nice weekend, Martha.

    1. Dancing isn't for everyone. When my husband and I are out where there's dancing I'm the one that will jump out of my seat. He stays put!

  10. I have learned various ballroom (like waltz, cha cha, jive), also tap dancing. I used to do musicals and dance in the chorus. I have played "Tessie Tura the Texas Twirler", an aging burlesque star, where I had to twirl my tassels on stage in the musical "Gypsy". I have probably every dance game make for Xbox. Yes I like to dance!

  11. My sister likes to play old records when we work in the kitchen. There are a few songs that make me want to dance, but I can't remember the titles at the moment. Also, quite a few people have cell phone ringtones that invite dancing...eh, it might be a bit odd to dance to someone else's ringtone, but it's their fault since they're the ones who chose ringtones like that...right?

    1. Laugh? I think that's great! So much fun. I'd even join you. The B-52s were quite popular when I was in high school and I used to dance to their songs at school dances and at the clubs we 'snuck' into :)
