G is for Generosity
One of the noblest traits.
Generosity makes us feel like we are making a difference. When we practice it – be it with money, time, energy, possessions or wisdom - we feel more optimistic about the world and its future. And in turn we are happier in our own lives.
So...
And remember to extend generosity to all living creatures.
Have a beautiful day, everyone!
you too..........

DeleteLovely thoughts indeed. Thanks for sharing!
ReplyDeleteThanks for stopping by!
DeleteI rather be generous and poor than stingy and rich. The world is better when people are generous.
ReplyDeletebetty
It certainly is, Betty.
DeleteVery true! I thought that last pic was of a squirrel but I think it's a chipmunk. Thank goodness, because I am only generous to squirrels when I take a big, heaping, generous portion of squirrel pot pie on my dinnah plate. Hahaha
ReplyDeleteDefinitely a chipmunk. Squirrel pot pie? No, thanks!!! Eating rodents doesn't really appeal to me :)
DeleteYour chipmunk pic is adorable!
ReplyDeleteThey are so cute. I love when they visit the garden and I get a chance to photograph them.
DeletePerfect capture and great words to live by.
ReplyDeleteJust some food for thought!
DeleteWonderful quote and that is the cutest picture of a chipmunk ever!
ReplyDeleteI love chipmunks. They are the cutest!
Deletesurely this is the way to world peace, seriously
ReplyDeleteIt certainly would help!
DeleteI would always find it funny when my brother would complain about squirrels on the bird feeder. You can feed birds but not them?
ReplyDeleteA lot of people don't want the squirrels on feeders because they eat most of the seeds, but I don't mind.
DeleteBeing generous with our time to help others need not cost us anything, but the rewards to others, the ones we may have helped are immense.
ReplyDeleteThoughtful post Martha and I love the photo!
All the best Jan
You got that right, Jan. The rewards are quite immense!
DeleteWell, you didn't ask me my opinion today but I will tell you. I would take goodness, just to be different.
ReplyDeleteAnd that's a very nice kind of different. Because goodness is a great trait!
DeleteYou got me with that picture. How flippin' cute.
ReplyDeleteDon't you just love this little critter? I want to pick it up and kiss its nose!
DeleteLovely thoughts!
ReplyDeleteThanks, Francie!
DeleteI couldn't agree more!
ReplyDeleteA good trait to practice.
DeleteI wish you a beautiful weekend too Martha...I would like to meet you once in Europe...
ReplyDeleteThat would be wonderful, Viera! Thank you for stopping by. I hope you are well.
DeleteLove the photo of the chipmunk! Great quote! I think of it often. The lady who lived with us when I was younger from the time she was 102 till she was 109 used to paraphrase John Wesley, "Do all the good you can, while you can, because you never know how soon it will be too late...too late." She'd repeat those last couple words a few times and sometimes almost sound like she was ready to start crying saying them. She was very much into self-denial and generosity all her life, and on her stone in the cemetery my father had them write "A life of giving" to commemorate her.
ReplyDeleteA very wise lady. How kind your father was to put that on her stone! And she lived to 109? That is amazing. I bet she had some great stories to share.
Deleteagree 100% and you are all that goodness, always
ReplyDeleteThanks, Lorraine. You're a doll!
DeleteWeird. Blogger won't let me comment within the comment. Maybe I reached my max.
ReplyDeleteAnyway, yes, super cute.
Blogger does frustrating things sometimes. I've had entire comments disappear just like that. Drives me bonkers!
