But Saturday...ah, Saturday...we did something completely different. And exciting! I'll write more about that later this week but I'll give you a hint with this photo:
Can anyone guess where we were wandering around the halls like this? Those who get it right will win a box of navel lint, an empty bottle of Tabasco sauce and two old toothbrushes. Not just one toothbrush, but two. Because generosity is important here at Plowing Through Life. So go ahead and take a guess.
And to get everyone in a good mood, I'll even throw in some humour...
Have a wonderful day!
With prizes like these, how can I resist!! Looks like you were on a 'mystery hunt' of some sort in a vacant building......and you were looking for a way out!!
ReplyDeleteOh DAVID!! lol
Thanks, needed this boost!!
One of your guesses is right, Jim. It is quite vacant. But not for long! Soon enough it will be overflowing with students.
DeleteMy guess is . . . you moved your daughter to her new residence at university! Love the zuke and corgis, LOL!
ReplyDeleteAnd I just saw Mr Clean and Pig Pen over on your sidebar, double LOL!
DeleteWe didn't move her in yet but we did get to see her place! She'll be moving in next week. Oh my gosh...the excitement!
DeleteNow I'm curious where you two are heading in that picture. Some kind of sports activity?
ReplyDeleteThe first of the fun pictures made me laugh out loud - our cat is black und hopped on the table to other day to lick the butter for real....LOL
I don't know what it is about butter but a lot of cats seem to love it!
DeleteWere you apartment hunting? I just love your Mr. and Mrs. Potato Head jokes. French fries baby!
ReplyDeleteOh, so close. We were snooping around her residence, which she'll be moving into next week!
DeleteHey Hello Martha and a great Monday Morning to you!!
ReplyDeleteDefinitely University Halls - if I'm right I'll open a bottle of Pinot and share a glass with everyone... virtually speaking of course, although the sound of a box of navel lint, an empty bottle of Tabasco sauce and two old toothbrushes ... has got a certain appeal I guess! LOL.
Loved all the Chortles - great start to my week, especially as it's pouring with rain here in my part of the world.
Happy Monday, I'm off out shortly with my umbrella
All the best Jan
Jan, open up that bottle of Pinot!! Hahaha... We were touring her university residence and even got a glimpse of her place. Exciting times here! She'll be moving in next week and be totally independent. It's hard to imagine that she's so grownup but here we are...
DeleteI can't guess, so I will have to give up on the prize, lol. Thanks for today's laughs.
ReplyDeleteI'm glad you enjoyed, Christine!
DeleteTaking your daughter to college? Getting her settled into her dorm?
ReplyDeleteI loved the corgi one, so cute! And of course Mr. and Mrs. Potato Head!
betty
Well, we did take her to her university and her residency, but haven't moved her in yet. That's next week! But you got it, Betty. It's definitely about her school.
DeleteMuch to smile about. My guess college or gym.
ReplyDeleteHave a great day
It's all about her school, so you got it, Gail!
Deletepoor donut
ReplyDeleteI know, right? So sad...
DeleteMy first thought was a hospital, but I think that universary dorm is much nicer.
ReplyDeleteYes, definitely much nicer. And correct!
DeleteI thought YOU were confuse... "today is not Monday, Martha must be mix up" then I look at my calendar, darn it is Monday!
ReplyDeleteI'm pretty sure you were in the Ottawa University residency but I'm the only one specified where so do I win? All the others are disqualified, right?
It's so sad to see poor Mr potatoes that is going to get fried!
Richard, are you losing track of the days? Things to look forward to during retirement :)
DeleteYes, you most certainly win! But you're not the only one. Remember how upset you were when you came in second? And said more than one person should win. Well...I felt bad and have now started applying that logic. So...you are one of many winners :) But you know, since you did add Ottawa University, I'll throw in an extra prize. How does a cracked drinking glass sound?
I'm gonna go with what Debra said, moved your baby girl into school.
ReplyDeleteSounds like a killer weekend on your end. Love those.
Very close. But we didn't move her in yet. That's next week. We did get to see her suite! Oh my gosh...such a nice place. More on that coming soon...
DeleteClose enough to win a prize? Or not close enough to win a prize?
DeleteMost definitely close enough to win a prize! There were quite a few winners, too.
DeleteHaha, the center is the best part.
ReplyDeleteThe good guesses were taken, and I prefer to pass on the prize.
Have a great week, Martha.
Poor little donut... :)
DeleteNot very good at guessing games though I feel the photo was taken in an institutional type building such as a government building, hospital or college/university. Had to cross off hotel because the hallways were not carpeted and almost all hotels carpet their hallways to cut down on noise.
ReplyDeleteEnjoyed all the cute cartoons and especially the yoga/meditation class . . . hard for poor little donut to find its center when it has none. :D
That is a great assessment! You are right; hotels carpet the hallways to reduce noise.
DeleteWe were definitely wandering around a university student residence; the one my daughter will be moving into next week. Very exciting times!
Yes, poor little donut. No center...
Loved this week's collection of funny!
ReplyDeleteI'm glad you enjoyed, Linda :)
DeleteMaternity ward. You're pregnant! Don't worry about the prizes I'll reward myself with a chocolate chip cookie! :)
ReplyDeleteHahahaha! Too funny. That is the last thing I need at my age. I'm enjoying this stage in my life...with kids all grown up!
DeleteI'll never guess. It'll have to be one of those "darn" times when I say that was so simple, why didn't I get it.
ReplyDeleteMaybe the prizes weren't enticing enough :) I'll have to come up with better ones next time!
DeleteWere you settling in your daughter at her college? Maybe someone else guessed this, but that is the first thing that I thought it could be!
ReplyDeleteClose enough, Kay! We weren't settling her in but we were checking out the residence she'll be moving into next week. So exciting...
DeleteInteresting one with the zucchini and corgis! Friends made some "apple pie" the other day that was actually made out of zucchini. It did taste a bit like apple, but I think I still prefer the real McCoy! I'm going to guess with many others that you were either moving your daughter into her dorm or apartment hunting.
ReplyDeleteWow, 'apple pie' made out of zucchini! That is so interesting. I've never heard of that. I'd be game to try it but, like you, I still like my apple pie with apples in it!
DeleteYou are very close with your guess. We didn't move her in yet but we did visit her residency and even get to see her place inside!
Enjoyed seeing your post! Have a nice time!
ReplyDeleteThanks. And thanks for stopping by!
DeleteThat frist corgi looks guilty of something. I would wash that zucchini carefully before eating it. The really big ones are great for making zucchini soup, and the shell makes in interesting serving dish.
ReplyDeleteHahaha...yes, that corgi does look guilty of something!
DeleteLOL oh girl you have me laughing every time, hilarious and hum museum? I swear I did not look at today's, and I love receiving mail, would your mind cleaning the socks first, i mean I always lose one sock, so I'm always mismatched
ReplyDeleteNothing wrong with being mismatched, Lorraine! In fact, it's pretty cool. Much more interesting that way :)
