"Music washes away from the soul the dust of everyday life."
- Berthold Auerbach -
M is for Music
The language of the soul. The most powerful, beneficial and greatest treasure in this world.
Here's a tune from one of the most talented musicians to ever grace this planet. His music lives on long after his death and influences people all around the globe.
Thank goodness for music.
Have a great day, everyone.
Yes he was something special. Have a wonderful day!
ReplyDeleteHe really was. His lives on through his music.
DeleteI don't know what I'd do without music. And I've loved "Imagine" since the first time I heard it -- a true modern hymn.
ReplyDeleteYou and me both, Debra. What a sad world it would be without music.
DeleteThe world would be so quiet without music in so many different ways. Love my musician; just not all the equipment that comes with being one :)
ReplyDeletebetty
Hahaha! Yes, that equipment can sure take up a lot of space!
DeleteI inherited my love of music from my mother. She had a beautiful voice and would sing throughout the day! While I was waiting for the video to load, I was thinking about my favorite song of John's....which was low and behold, the one you featured.... Imagine. Love the photos of him and his voice brings tears to my eyes... he should still be here with us today. I can only 'imagine' the things he would have to say about the current state of affairs in the world.... Thanks Martha! Beautiful!
ReplyDeleteI often wonder, too, about what he'd be saying today. What a shame that such a soul left this world so young. The world needed him for a little bit longer.
DeleteA great tune, and thanks for sharing.
ReplyDeleteThanks for stopping by.
DeleteMusic is a wonderful one to be grateful for. Love it.
ReplyDeleteCan't imagine life without it.
DeleteI love music! I just ordered a BJ Thomas album, heard him in McDonald's the other day, brought back memories.
ReplyDeleteThat's great. Enjoy!
DeleteI don't think I could live without music, Martha! And Lennon was special! Have a good one!
ReplyDeleteHe sure was. Such a shame the world lost him so early in his life.
DeleteMusic has saved me while cleaning a shop that has not been touched for more than ten years.
ReplyDeleteI agree about John. I first saw The Beatles on the Ed Sullivan show. I was smitten. Elvis no long mattered. I had The Beatles.
Hahaha! No more Elvis!
DeleteHey! I'm with you on John Lennon. I like the oldies in Rock...Elvis, Buddy Holly..
ReplyDeleteA lot of great oldies music! What an era that was.
DeleteI agree one hundred percent, and love that song...Imagine....Girl ;) have a wonderful weekend!
ReplyDeleteEnjoy the weekend, girl!
DeleteBrilliant choice Martha ... and I love the quote you've used too.
ReplyDeleteHappy weekend wishes
All the best Jan
I hope you have a lovely weekend, Jan!
DeleteOne of the best pieces ever made.
ReplyDeletethanks, Martha. Have a wonderful weekend.
It is a classic!
