"Music washes away from the soul the dust of everyday life."
- Berthold Auerbach -
M is for Music
The language of the soul. The most powerful, beneficial and greatest treasure in this world.
Here's a tune from one of the most talented musicians to ever grace this planet. His music lives on long after his death and influences people all around the globe.
Thank goodness for music.
Have a great day, everyone.
Yes he was something special. Have a wonderful day!ReplyDelete
He really was. His lives on through his music.Delete
I don't know what I'd do without music. And I've loved "Imagine" since the first time I heard it -- a true modern hymn.ReplyDelete
You and me both, Debra. What a sad world it would be without music.Delete
The world would be so quiet without music in so many different ways. Love my musician; just not all the equipment that comes with being one :)ReplyDelete
Hahaha! Yes, that equipment can sure take up a lot of space!Delete
I inherited my love of music from my mother. She had a beautiful voice and would sing throughout the day! While I was waiting for the video to load, I was thinking about my favorite song of John's....which was low and behold, the one you featured.... Imagine. Love the photos of him and his voice brings tears to my eyes... he should still be here with us today. I can only 'imagine' the things he would have to say about the current state of affairs in the world.... Thanks Martha! Beautiful!ReplyDelete
I often wonder, too, about what he'd be saying today. What a shame that such a soul left this world so young. The world needed him for a little bit longer.Delete
A great tune, and thanks for sharing.ReplyDelete
Thanks for stopping by.Delete
Music is a wonderful one to be grateful for. Love it.ReplyDelete
Can't imagine life without it.Delete
I love music! I just ordered a BJ Thomas album, heard him in McDonald's the other day, brought back memories.ReplyDelete
That's great. Enjoy!Delete
I don't think I could live without music, Martha! And Lennon was special! Have a good one!ReplyDelete
He sure was. Such a shame the world lost him so early in his life.Delete
Music has saved me while cleaning a shop that has not been touched for more than ten years.ReplyDelete
I agree about John. I first saw The Beatles on the Ed Sullivan show. I was smitten. Elvis no long mattered. I had The Beatles.
Hahaha! No more Elvis!Delete
Hey! I'm with you on John Lennon. I like the oldies in Rock...Elvis, Buddy Holly..ReplyDelete
A lot of great oldies music! What an era that was.Delete
I agree one hundred percent, and love that song...Imagine....Girl ;) have a wonderful weekend!ReplyDelete
Enjoy the weekend, girl!Delete
Brilliant choice Martha ... and I love the quote you've used too.ReplyDelete
Happy weekend wishes
All the best Jan

It is a classic!Delete
