"By all these lovely tokens
September days are here,
With summer’s best of weather
And autumn’s best of cheer."
- Helen Hunt Jackson, September, 1830-1885 -
I woke up this morning feeling energized and excited and with that fluttery feeling in my stomach. September does that to me. It’s a very magical – and nostalgic - time of year.
The weather is often quite nice with comfortable days and cooler nights; perfect for an evening stroll after supper.
September is the gateway to autumn; one of the prettiest seasons of the year. Soon enough Mother Nature will paint the town red, orange and gold.
And, of course, there’s the start of a new academic year. I used to love school and this time of year brings to mind many wonderful memories of days gone by.
Although it’s sad that summer is coming to an end, September arrives bearing its own special gifts.
Have a wonderful month, everyone!
All your pictures are so so beautiful! Love the one with the duck and the water dripping down :) September is a beautiful month and I can't wait for all the fun it'll bring. It also brings the end of my thesis - I cannot wait anymore :)
ReplyDeleteHave a wonderful time! Hugs to you, Martha :D

ReplyDeletewait for my ironic comments about the end of winter in six months
That's the fun part, Adam! Irony...what would this world be without it? Certainly not as entertaining :)
DeleteThe same feelings always take me over this time of year as well, Martha. It is a very nostalgic time of year for me being a teacher for so long. Soon the school buses will be heard in the early morning on their first runs for the year.
ReplyDeleteWonderful photos here......that flower and bee is stunning!!
We never quite forget those school days. And for you having been a teacher for so long, there are even more memories!
DeleteYes September is here, enough with the heat, the beaches and the allergies. Mother nature has already start her painting, it's not reddish yet but it's getting yellowish fast! I just love September! Have a super one, busy lady :)
ReplyDeleteOurs trees have been turning, some already turned. More to come. By the way, great to see you out and about, commenting. Now I can make fun of you again. Yeppers. September will be great.
