...and creative.
On. The. Walls. Of. Their. Room.

These bold colours are not quite in disguise. |
When you're not looking.
It took three coats of primer to cover up this streak of creativity sparked by my daughter's inner poet a year or two ago.
Thank goodness for primer.
LOL oh I love this Girl, then again creativity runs in the family ;) it's wonderful!
ReplyDeleteIt is pretty cool. Very sad that I had to paint over it!
DeleteTeenagers indeed. Greetings to you!
ReplyDeleteThanks for stopping by!
DeleteGlad you allowed her to express her artistic side. Fortunately she didn't go wild and paint all the walls in deep, rich colors.
ReplyDeleteI have a friend whose son painted his room in contrasting colors of scarlet red and jet black. She's afraid she'll have to sandblast the walls before she can paint over it.
Hahaha! That is funny about your friend. And scary, too :)
DeleteI think its awesome you let her be creative in the first place :) Glad for primer and a little hard work!
ReplyDeletebetty
I like how creative she is. It's a big part of her.
DeleteYep, sounds like something a teenager would do! :)
ReplyDeleteDefinitely!
DeleteIt sure does sound like something a teenager would do :) At least it's just one part of the room to put primer on 3 times ;)
ReplyDeleteYup. Not too much to deal with. A few passes with the paint roller and WHOOSH all gone :)
DeleteWhat a totally awesome thing to have to paint over.
ReplyDeleteI know, right? Bright and happy colours.
DeleteIt's good to be creative ...
ReplyDeleteIt's also good to have some primer ...
All the best Jan
Yes. Creativity and primer go hand in hand :)
DeleteI kind of like this Martha, great memories, now you have a lovely photo!
ReplyDeleteIndeed. I'm so glad I photographed it before I painted over it.
DeleteHi Martha! I've been reading back through some of your posts! Doesn't it almost seem like it was just a few years since "We" were that age!? I love that quote, it's good that you now have it recorded for all time!
ReplyDeleteIt does seem like it was just a few years ago. It's startling how quickly time goes by.
DeleteGasp! You covered her ART! Well, I guess you got a picture of it's okay! :)
ReplyDeleteI know..very shocking. But the next owners of the house won't be as happy about it as I am! They might even be annoyed :)
DeleteHaha they're not in disguise at all. It's a nice thought-I like it and her creativity too. Glad you have a photo of it, she might want to see it again ....later.
ReplyDeleteShe is very artistic and this is exactly the type of thing I'd expect from her. I took a photo to preserve this memory. Kind of sad having to cover it up!
DeleteI would have been tempted to leave it. When she is a famous artist, you might regret painting over it! :-)
ReplyDeleteWe're moving soon and I'm sure the next owners of this home won't feel the same way :)
DeleteGotta love her!
ReplyDeleteThanks for the anniversary wishes...
Cheers!
Linda :o)
I hope you had a lovely time with your boyfriend, Linda. It's hard to believe you've been married so long. You look much too young!
Deleteif you can stand the smell and mineral spirits clean up, Zinnser coverstain primer is the one of the best primers about covering up really tough paint problems
ReplyDeleteYou are absolutely right. It is the best! It is the only primer I use. It does an amazing job.
DeleteI see you are not the only artist around :)
ReplyDeleteWe all enjoy art. Great way to relax.
DeleteI'm gonna start calling YOU Wonder Woman.
ReplyDeleteWhoa! Let's not get crazy :) There can only be one Wonder Woman. We'll have to come up with something different for me!
