On. The. Walls. Of. Their. Room.
|These bold colours are not quite in disguise.|
When you're not looking.
It took three coats of primer to cover up this streak of creativity sparked by my daughter's inner poet a year or two ago.
Thank goodness for primer.
LOL oh I love this Girl, then again creativity runs in the family ;) it's wonderful!ReplyDelete
It is pretty cool. Very sad that I had to paint over it!Delete
Teenagers indeed. Greetings to you!ReplyDelete
Thanks for stopping by!Delete
Glad you allowed her to express her artistic side. Fortunately she didn't go wild and paint all the walls in deep, rich colors.ReplyDelete
I have a friend whose son painted his room in contrasting colors of scarlet red and jet black. She's afraid she'll have to sandblast the walls before she can paint over it.
Hahaha! That is funny about your friend. And scary, too :)Delete
I think its awesome you let her be creative in the first place :) Glad for primer and a little hard work!ReplyDelete
I like how creative she is. It's a big part of her.Delete
Yep, sounds like something a teenager would do! :)ReplyDelete
It sure does sound like something a teenager would do :) At least it's just one part of the room to put primer on 3 times ;)ReplyDelete
Yup. Not too much to deal with. A few passes with the paint roller and WHOOSH all gone :)Delete
What a totally awesome thing to have to paint over.ReplyDelete
I know, right? Bright and happy colours.Delete
It's good to be creative ...ReplyDelete
It's also good to have some primer ...
All the best Jan
Yes. Creativity and primer go hand in hand :)Delete
I kind of like this Martha, great memories, now you have a lovely photo!ReplyDelete
Indeed. I'm so glad I photographed it before I painted over it.Delete
Hi Martha! I've been reading back through some of your posts! Doesn't it almost seem like it was just a few years since "We" were that age!? I love that quote, it's good that you now have it recorded for all time!ReplyDelete
It does seem like it was just a few years ago. It's startling how quickly time goes by.Delete
Gasp! You covered her ART! Well, I guess you got a picture of it's okay! :)ReplyDelete
I know..very shocking. But the next owners of the house won't be as happy about it as I am! They might even be annoyed :)Delete
Haha they're not in disguise at all. It's a nice thought-I like it and her creativity too. Glad you have a photo of it, she might want to see it again ....later.ReplyDelete
She is very artistic and this is exactly the type of thing I'd expect from her. I took a photo to preserve this memory. Kind of sad having to cover it up!Delete
I would have been tempted to leave it. When she is a famous artist, you might regret painting over it! :-)ReplyDelete
We're moving soon and I'm sure the next owners of this home won't feel the same way :)Delete
Gotta love her!ReplyDelete
Thanks for the anniversary wishes...
I hope you had a lovely time with your boyfriend, Linda. It's hard to believe you've been married so long. You look much too young!Delete
if you can stand the smell and mineral spirits clean up, Zinnser coverstain primer is the one of the best primers about covering up really tough paint problemsReplyDelete
You are absolutely right. It is the best! It is the only primer I use. It does an amazing job.Delete
I see you are not the only artist around :)ReplyDelete
We all enjoy art. Great way to relax.Delete
I'm gonna start calling YOU Wonder Woman.ReplyDelete
Whoa! Let's not get crazy :) There can only be one Wonder Woman. We'll have to come up with something different for me!Delete
