A To Z Of Gratitude: Q

“Quiet is peace. Tranquility. Quiet is turning down the volume knob on life.
- Khaled Hosseini, The Kite Runner -

Q is for Quiet

In a world that can be exceedingly noisy, sometimes I need to shut everything off and turn down the volume.
I am grateful for those moments when all I can hear is the sound of silence.

  3. I am grateful too! I love when I'm home during the day and there is no sound except maybe birds chirping outside. No tv, no talking, no noise, just air.

    1. I can only image how frustrating it must be when there's noise during one of your games! Chess requires a lot of concentration and having a quiet environment must be vital.

  10. Quiet is quiet. But we can learn a lot in silence.
Younger generation today failed to acknowledge this.

    1. That is true. They never shut off their phones/games/computers/televisions. Too much stimulation, not enough downtime.
