Smell of Christmas tree filling the house. Being with all my grandchildren at the same time (and playing Blackjack with them when the parents are all out and about). Listening to my children and their spouses conversations. The twinkle of lights. My mom's rum and bourbon balls on the cookie tray!
My five: Lights Christmas story (not the movie, but from the Bible :) Good cheer some seem to have Being with family Food (with no calories of course because its Christmas)
They are very hard to resist, especially the fudge. I attended a holiday lunch for the hospice volunteers and one member brought homemade fudge. Absolute heaven! But terrible for the hips and thighs at my age :)
Having children young enough to still get super-excited about Christmas. Hosting Christmas lunch and having my family all around me enjoying abundance that we all contributed to. Opening presents! Putting up the Christmas tree (my son contributed that favourite). Gingerbread reindeer.

1: Watching Christmas movies. 2: Giving gifts to my loved ones. 3: Christmas tree lights and a fire in the fireplace (with bubbly of course) 4: Wonderful memories from childhood and when I was married. 5: Baking smells even though I no longer bake.

I put family time last because of all of the fighting between relatives. Family gatherings these days just end up being awkward.
