I was born in Chicago Illinois, lived there about a year, then moved to Alabama, then Georgia. Have lived here in Tennessee since summer of 1973.
That's a long time to live in one place. Seems like you settled down nicely in Tennessee!
I was born in a one horse prairie town in Manitoba and lived there until I was 18. Then I went to Winnipeg.
That must have felt like quite a change, Debra! I don't think I could ever live in a small town. I've got too much city girl in me :)
Born in Greenville, SC then moved to Spartanburg County before I was two which I've been at since then
You're still very young and who knows where you'll be many years from now!
I was born in Sharon, Pennsylvania, which is the western part of the state near the Ohio border and city of Youngstown, Ohio. Moved to California when I was seven years old.betty
From north to south! That is quite a change. And you lived in California? Oh how I'd love to visit that state one day!
I, too was born in Chicago. I have lived in a lot of other places, though. My parents moved us pretty regularly and I've moved another 21 times with my husbands company. I still have ties to the Chicago area and get there from time to time.
Wow, that's a lot of moving around! I've only lived in two different provinces. I'm an amateur!
I was born and lived in Toronto, Ontario until I was 31. Then we moved to British Columbia, then back to Ontario again... Now I live in Hamilton, Ontario! We moved around a lot for quite a few years...
British Columbia is a province that I am so eager to visit one day! How nice that you were there for awhile!
Born in Düren, Germany. Living mostly in NB Canada since 1984
That is quite a move! Across the ocean and to another continent.
I was born on the military base in Ft. Ord, California, USA 1989. I'm not sure how long we lived there, but not long. The base doesn't even "exist" anymore!
That's interesting! Is it just a regular community now?
London, England a long, long time ago :)
A lovely place. I spent a whole day there between flights and loved it! I hope to visit one day for a much longer period!
I was born in Lynchburg, Virginia and grew up in the rural county outside the city. Lived in different places. Came back to Campbell County in 1999.
Did you always live in Virginia? We visited Virginia Beach in 2008 and just loved it!
I was born in Kingston, Jamaica, West Indies and came to Canada in 1975.
Oh, I didn't know that! You were born in the Caribbean...wow. I've visited Jamaica a looooong time ago. Spent two weeks there and had a wonderful time.
Born in Sacramento, California, but only lived there a few months (my dad was in the Air Force at the time) before moving back to South Dakota, where I grew up.
Sounds like you settled down for a long time, Linda. Sacramento, California intrigues me. I would like to visit it one day.
I was born in Halifax, Nova Scotia, Canada. I have lived here most of my life with the exception of maybe 5 years......three in another part of the province and two in British Columbia.
Halifax is your home, Jim! You are an east coast Canuck from head to toe. I hope to visit one day soon!
Born in Melbourne, Australia but moved to Sydney with my family when I was only one year old. Back in Sydney now after living in various smaller cities and towns in this state or the ACT (which is wholly enclosed in this state, New South Wales). I feel like I've moved around a lot, but I guess I haven't really gone far.
Sounds like me, Natalie! I've moved a few times from home to home but never all that far. Although it seems like a move from Melbourne to Sydney is a few hours distance. Further than I've ever gone!
My family has been in the same community for 162 years.
You don't share which community! I just know you're in B.C.
Well that clears that up :) Thanks, Birdie!
Portland, Oregon. But I've lived in many places back and forth from the West Coast to the East - throughout Oregon to New York back to California then back to Connecticut. and now we're talking about where next?
Wow, you've been all over the map! Quite fearless...and adventurous!
I was born in Saskatchewan on the southwest 1/4 of sec 22. In other words I was born on a farm. I was born Oct. 21 and it was a warm fall day. the next day there was a blizzard and the rods were blocked!
Hahaha...sounds like typical Canadian weather. You can have all four seasons within a short period of time!
Neat to read where everyone else was born! I was born in Portland, Oregon, and I moved to Iowa when I was 8.
It has turned out to be a lot of fun! I always enjoy learning about my blogging friends. That is quite a move from Oregon to Iowa!
Melbourne, Arkansas...still here.Mom had a young doctor scheduled to be gone during my time of birth. She told him she would wait til he got back. I rolled over when I was born a month later. Scared the nurse! The doctor was the son of Henry Karr Shannon famous in his own right. http://www.encyclopediaofarkansas.net/encyclopedia/entry-detail.aspx?entryID=2629
That was quite an interesting read, Gail! Thanks for sharing it. Looks like you are very comfortable where you are. It is 'home'.
I was born in Denver, Colorado. My kids think it was during the Jurassic period. Moved to California when I was 8. I lived in South Carolina for a year, then Japan for almost two years and back to California. Right now, we are looking to ditch Cali but can't figure out where to go.....any ideas?
During the Jurassic period...hahaha... Chances are we crossed paths in that era :)JAPAN! That is fascinating. Now there's an adventure.I'd tell you to come up to Canada but I'm not sure you'd like the winter months. Although the west coast has some much warmer areas.
I was born in Rome, NY; lived in Woonsocket, RI; moved to Phoenix, AZ (nice and warm) where I have been for 35 years.
The warmth...I could live with that. You are so lucky! Arizona is on my list of favourite places to visit. I hope to see it one day!
Born in Montreal I even remember the street, Desmarais, and there were only one English speaking person...wild and then my Dad got a job to Direct a new office in Ottawa, Ontario, so me moved to this little town in Quebec, called Aylmer back then there were no condos, almost no apartment building, it was so lovely...
Things sure have changed since then, haven't they? I remember fields near my childhood home. Not it's full of housing (duplexes, triplexes, apartment buildings, condos, etc.)
Born in South Australia, Australia, moved to Queensland's Sunshine Coast for four years in the 80s, back to S.A. and lived here since but want to move to Queensland's Gold Coast. It's like Los Angeles and Miami rolled into one. It's beachy and sunshiny and stormy and awesome!
Australia is my dream destination! Don't know if I'll ever make it there but I will try my hardest.
On Mars? No? No good?
I'd want to know more! :)
