Weather Mania

This is what it's been like for quite some time around here. Technically, spring has sprung but it means something different every day. We don't know whether to put our boots away or leave them by the door. Welcome to Canada in the spring...

What's it like where you are?

  1. Today in Ottawa, it's more like Monday... or maybe it's only me, spending all winter in warmer Florida, I'm not acclimate to this cold LOL

  4. This is also spring in South Dakota. Saw a mix of rain and snow yesterday with highs today in the low 70s. Good one.

  6. That is how it was in Montana; ups and downs as much as 30 degrees some days! Hard to figure how to dress the kids for school :)

Here it is a balmy (please don't be mad at me) 63 degrees right now with forecast to 82 degrees later in the day :)

  9. We have had a capricious spring here too. I think we've had colder and windier weather in April than we did in March!

  12. Tina is right. Capricious is the only word for our spring this year, too.

    1. Don't you just love that word? I've never used it. I'm going to have to find a way to incorporate it into some sentence at some point.

  14. I love your weather mania - it's so similar to ours!

Everyone keeps telling me to wear layers, which I guess makes sense. You can put them all on, take one or two off, put one back again ... ah yes and gloves and scarves may still be needed.
Don't you just love the Spring - I feel quite sorry for the plants, trees and animals too!

    All the best Jan

    1. I've been dressing in layers, too; it works great. When I'm outdoors, I can simply adjust to the weather by keeping on or removing a layer or two.

  16. Snow this past Monday (three days ago) and an expected high of 17 degrees this Saturday. Is it any wonder I have a cold??? (Yes, I know colds are caused by viruses, but I think this up and down messes with our immune systems). My crocuses are a sad, soggy mass of purple.-Jenn
