This is true! I sound great singing in the shower. :-) And it is a place where I am alone, the sound of the water muffles out the sounds of the household, and I can think.
I showered twice a day, sometimes three times and once 6 times because the weather was hellishly hot. Never sang in a shower though, because my voice is no album material.
There's an old writer's trick that when someone is blocked, they are advised to go take a shower. The simple non-thinking of movement in the shower, sometimes frees the writer's brain and soon enough, the area they were stuck on, becomes, unstuck.
That is so true! Showers rock!

They do, Betty! They really do :)
DeleteThat's funny.
ReplyDeleteI'm such a bad singer, I prefer baths.
Baths are great. I love soaking in one now and again. With a book to read!

DeleteTrue Story! hahah My showers last about 20 minutes. thats 5 minutes of washing and 15 minutes of figuring out my life!
ReplyDeleteLisa
Best place to figure out things in life!

ReplyDeleteVery true! I don't sing when I take a bath. I read instead.
DeleteI never sing in the shower. I wouldn't be able to hear my dulcet tones over the noise of the water!
ReplyDeleteThat's reason enough!
DeleteWell I guess I have been known to sing a few bars in the shower!!
ReplyDeleteAnd every time, a star is born...lol...

Penny!

When you're alone, even if you sing horribly, no one will know :)
Deleteand they waste less water than baths

ReplyDeleteAll the best Jan
Depending on what time the shower is taken, you're probably right, Jan!
