Then yesterday...!!!...we drove to Ottawa where my younger daughter is living and studying, and met up at her place with the rest of the family: my brother and his wife, and my older daughter and her boyfriend. Last Sunday my older daughter turned 24 and yesterday the younger one turned 19, so it was a double birthday celebration and a family reunion. Lunch, a visit to the historical ByWard market in the heart of the city, coffee, dessert and a whole lot of catching up. It was the best day. The absolute best.
And now it's time for some funny stuff.
Have a wonderful day!
Glad you had such a fabulous weekend Martha! Thanks for today's laughs too.
ReplyDeleteYou're welcome! I'm glad you enjoyed.
DeleteOh girl, you are so funny, I crack up every time, ok first you and george look Scrumptious as always, second you know that ride, my ex-husband convinced me to ride with him on something a little similar. After it was finished I managed to say one word: DIVORCE you're so funny ps am now blogging every day, honestly i miss you all so much I'd rather blog than have a car. And my second selling blog i will change format today and start listing things...I know some of it you will want, I promise, but slow and easy, that's my way now. Plus I have to wait For Post Canada to make up their minds one way or the other..And also need many many different sized padded enveloppe...you're going to love it, you can also just window shop...Have a great time you 2 xo
ReplyDeleteTrying to visit everyday, but no car, but do visit my store, I bet you'll enjoy it...and no cost is cast in stone....
DeleteI love having you in the blogging world, Lorraine! As long as you are happy doing it. You're always missed when you're not around. I'm also curious to see what will happen with Canada post. Hopefully they don't go on strike.

DeleteHi, Martha! It's lovely to hear that you had such a great Canada Day weekend. There is nothing more wonderful than getting together with family and friends. The picture of you and George speaks volumes about the special relationship you have!
ReplyDeleteThanks, also, for the chortles and chuckles, although I may not be able to get the image of that terrifying rollercoaster out of my mind! I'm amazed at what labels I've spotted on food, but boneless potatoes has to take the prize!
I'm sorry I've been absent for so long. This has been the weirdest year, and I'm just now beginning to find my rhythm. I hope to get back and read some of your posts I've missed, maybe even later today.
Sending you hugs and warm wishes!
Hugs to you, Louise! So nice to see you here. George and I always take selfies like that. One of our quirks :)

Hope your weekend is going great! It's a little quieter this time around for us; nowhere near how busy it was last week. That's good!
DeleteIs that roller coaster rail for real?!
ReplyDeleteThat's beyond awesome. I bet some people died on it of fright.
That was my question, too. I'm not sure if it's real but if it is, WOW! That is one crazy ride.
DeleteI've been on mini roller coasters more for kids, called Mad Mouse here in Aus, but never would i ever go on something like that.
